I have been to iPic before and find the movie watching experience delightful. However, last night was the first time we dined in, while watching the movie. The food was beyond terrible. We thought the menu options were very limited. We started by ordering the cheesie biscuits. We were served three biscuits that had the fell, taste and even texture of being microwaved. We compared it to airplane food, but I think that was even a stretch. Oh and those three microwaved biscuits cost $14. Then came the main dishes, from that same limited menu. We thought we would play it safe and get the margarita pizza and Caesar salad. Playing it “safe” was like trying to pick the least of the worst foods. If that is what we did, how is iPic even in business? The pizza was NOT good, to put it nicely. The crust was the texture of day old pizza microwaved. It felt like biting into cardboard. The rest of the pizza wasn’t any better. I can’t speak to the way it looked, because it was dark, but the way it tasted was awful. It was 8pm by then and my husband and I hadn’t eaten anything since lunch. We were very hungry and even then we didn’t finish the pizza...which was a single serving pizza. It was bland and worse than the cheapest freezer bought pizza. That terribly tasting pizza was $16. The food was kind of expensive to begin with (which you expect at a dinner theatre), but when you add in the quality, the prices were appalling. We had hope for the chicken Caesar salad though. There isn’t anyway, that could taste as awful as everything else. Thankfully it wasn’t bad. It wasn’t that good either. I think by then, we were just looking for something edible. They present the salad to you in full Roman lettuce leaves with the chicken and other toppings gathered on the top/side. They do realize you are eating in the dark right? Do you know how difficult it is to cut up the salad and mix it on a plate in the dark during a movie. It’s dark iPic, no one can see your salad display. Have the lettuce cut at the least. A bowl may also be a better option for people eating in the dark. I felt like a kid using a knife for the first time. It was strange to present it that way. As for taste, the salad was just okay. The bread they served on the side was terrible and hard. I may need to visit my dentist for a broken filling after biting into it for the first time. I would have taken the microwaved cheesie biscuits over that. The only plus side to the menu, is that the drinks were fantastic! IPic, you need to step your food menu up to your drink menu level. The food was worse than any bar food I have ever eaten. It was more like gas station food and that is still possibly giving it too much credit, especially for the higher end pricing. I can honestly say, I will NEVER go there with the intentions of eating dinner again. I don’t know how this place is even in business still, with food like that. The food at other dinning movie theatres are way better. We had expected at least that quality of food for the price. If it wasn’t for the movie itself, I would have tried giving no stars. BEWARE IF YOU PLAN ON EATING DINNER IN THE THEATRE. THE FOOD IS BY...
Read moreI am truly disappointed in this IPIC location. Having been familiar with IPIC theatres in my previous state we thought it would be nice to go and see and a new movie release there. We got there as instructed 20 minutes early before our movie to give us enough time to get seated put in our food order, etc.
We were the first ones in the theater, and it seems as if the theater was not clean prior to this 330 screening under the seats were filthy. There was popcorn everywhere where me and my husband were sitting. There was leftover spinach dip from the previous guest that got all over our belongings, and there was an empty wine bottle in our section.
My son said he also found an empty vodka bottle in his section. They were seated right across from us. When I tell the waiter that we have an empty wine bottle in our section instead of you know asking us to get up so he can remove it. He asked my 14-year-old son to pass him the empty wine bottle, which I think was very inappropriate. Nonetheless, we were already there. Our kids were already excited to see the new movie so we stayed and ordered our food.
My husband and I ordered an appetizer and our waiter asked when we wanted our main dish to come out. We said about 15 minutes after we receive our appetizer, our food finally comes and lo and behold, we get our main dish first and the lady that’s delivering the food has no idea about our appetizers. I politely ask about our appetizer and she said she would check on it and bring it out. Another 15 minutes later the appetizer finally comes out and all in all the food was not that great. It was not up to par with the IPIC quality that I’m so used to. The wings were undercooked, and just quite honestly didn’t taste good. The Filet Mignon sliders were just average and quite honestly dry.
Our bill was $131 not including gratuity and not including ticket prices so we spent about $200+ on everything.
I could have gotten a better experience at just regular AMC which also offers “luxury recliners” this used to set IPIC apart, but I might as well spend my money elsewhere for cheaper and get better food and service....
Read moreMy wife and I have been coming to IPIC for many years now. We are avid movie goers and we were super happy when we found IPIC. We love the ambiance and upscale feel of a theater, we love the food, the ability to choose your seats, the seats themselves and the fact that they are separated in groups of 2 (now they have pods for a little more privacy). HOWEVER, the service and maintenance have taken a dive for the worst. We have noticed these 4 issues on our last three visits: 1. We noticed that bathrooms are not being attended. The floors are super sticky and the garbage bins are filled and trash stacked and balanced on top of the bin or on the floor because there's no more space. 2. no paper towels to dry hands or in my wifes' case, no toilet paper in most stalls. 3. Service - we were not served during our last service and were completely ignored so either our call button didn't work or the servers don't use the system. Everyone else around us was served. I figured I'd order some dessert at least, so got out of the theater room to ask for assistance only to be told that kitchen just closed anyway, so no warning or anything as they used to do in the past. 4. Servers don't kneel down and whisper when speaking to a guest any more. if you have people in front of you that places a large order or constantly gets drinks, forget it. They stand stall and have full blown/loud conversations in the middle of the movie which kills the submerging experience. They don't attempt to minimize their presence. These issues are not a one-off thing, they have been uniform during our last 3 visits so it's not a coincidence. We have tickets for another movie at IPIC so we'll see how that goes, but we are already dreading these issues again. If it doesn't go well, we might have to reevaluate our choices because why would I pay good money to get a bad product? I've exchanged emails with Senior General Manager, Lucas Parrish, about one of our visits that was an extremely bad experience but there was no follow through on their part or attempt to make it right by us, so with various bad experiences now, I've decided to make a...
