We had our daughter's birthday party here and it was such a disappointment. Let's start with how hot it is in there. The party rooms were even warmer than the play area and sweating around while trying to wrangle toddlers is definitely not enjoyable.
The birthday package included food for all the kids and we had also ordered additional food from their catering menu for the adults. When it was time for the kids to eat, they asked us if we wanted to do the cake first because the food wasn't ready. We didn't want to do that so we waited instead. Once the food finally started coming out, it was only coming out about 3 plates at a time and the food for the adults was nowhere in sight. We had to ask when the rest of the food would be coming out and it was only then that we were told they were down to one fryer. Not once did anyone come explain the situation to us or apologize for what was happening.
The package also included a juice box for every kid yet they only brought out 6 juice boxes, so most of the kids didn't even get one. They had to drink the water that we had ordered for the adults, and when I asked for a few extra water bottles at the end, they said I would have to start a new tab since they had already closed out our party. Seriously?
I could keep going but you get the point. I would definitely not recommend this place for a...
Read moreMy kids and I loved Cheeky Monkey and have been going to both locations since they first opened and after they re-opened post the initial pandemic closure. This is why I am really disappointed today at the Fairview location where the cleanliness was extremely poor and there was no enforcement of face covering mandate for adults who were not eating/drinking and were mingling with kids in the play area. Moreover, several adults and kids did not respect the no shoes rule in the play area and itâs particularly worrisome in the toddlerâs section where little kids were crawling on the floor. There were some sort of sticky liquid and chunks on the trampoline along with random dirty socks. There were Cheetos all over the floor mat in the toddlers area and some kids were picking them off the floor and eating them!
I understand they were busy and itâs hard to manage a big crowd, but if you cannot compromise on cleanliness and proactive enforcement especially during this time. When I raised the concern to the front desk, she mentioned there were customers who refused to wear a mask unless police was called; while I sympathize with the tough position the staff are in, the bottom line is if you cannot take control of the establishment and ensure the healthy and safety protocols are followed, you should not re-open or operate at a capacity you...
Read moreWeâve been here on numerous occasions with our 3 and 2 year old daughters.
Today we visited to celebrate our two year old daughterâs birthday. We arrived at 415p on a Friday and planned to stay for two hours but we were told that after 5p we had to purchase a Mothers Day package to keep playing after 5p that included food, crafts, etc. that we had no intention of using.
No problem⊠we bought two Mothers Day packages as we just wanted them to have ample time to play.
As we were leaving, our daughters wanted to take 3 simple balloons that were placed at our table (and every other table) as part of the Mothers Day package. As they we walked by the pay station, one of the employees asked my daughter for the balloons and promised sheâd give them back. She just wanted to take off a cheap weight tied to the strings.
My daughter gladly gave them to her and eagerly awaited for the return of the balloons before another employee rudely told her she couldnât take the balloons.
Needless to say, both my daughters were devastated. It left us with a poor experience which is a shame given the balloons couldnât have been more than a couple of dollars and weâd already paid extra without partaking in all the extra benefits so our girls could play.
Overall, very poor customer service and treatment of kids for a place dedicated to kids. We...
