Cream & Sugar — Restaurant in Fairview

I love the location of this shop! It's convenient while out shopping but also tucked away so it's away from the hustle and bustle of the other businesses around. The shop itself is really cute. I definitely get that modern/farmhouse vibe. I went in for my first time yesterday day because I was shopping around the area and when searching for coffee around town, Cream & Sugar keeps popping up on my Yelp to check out. It was in late afternoon so it was pretty quiet inside, therefore I placed my order and got my drink quickly. I ordered an iced vanilla latte with oat milk. It was pretty good! I feel like I might need to try something else next time to get a better sense of the flavor of the espresso. I saw that they use Lemma coffee roasters too which was a new one for me to try, as I'm new to the area so I am not familiar. But overall I enjoyed my quick stop in! I look forward to going back and trying some other things! Plus pickup some local goods, and to eventually take my kids in to enjoy...

The Good: Cold Brew was good. Service was great by the guy who took my order and also made my drink.

The Not so good: Hipster joint bucking the system by not having whipped cream and or a cold foam offering, yet they have ice cream. As they say, this is a decision, in my opinion not the best decision for the business, as they had 1 employee on Sunday am. I was the only person in there on this Sunday morning at 9am. It is places like these that keep, and I hate to say it, Starbucks busy,.and I am so not into Starbucks, so I always try local places. But when they don't give customers what they want, because the business decides for them, then you usually have one employee working on a Sunday morning. The crazy thing is they are nestled right within walking distance in the same area of about 2000 apartments homes and over a thousand hotel rooms and there's one person in there at 9:00am and it was me and my hotel was 10 minutes...

Sugar & Cream our go-to spot for ice cream in the Allen Fairview area. We have been many times and it is always a pleasant experience. The coffee is not my favorite but the ice cream is really good and reasonably priced. My favorite flavor is the Banana Pudding. It is such a unique flavor and reminds you of eating real Banana Pudding.

We have been there 20+ times and the service is always prompt and friendly. My daughter and I prefer to eat outside or at the benches overlooking the spray fountains located next door but the Sugar & Cream facilities are nice and clean. With so many Fairview businesses closing in this particular shopping center, it's nice to see a business that wisely choose to rent a small space with a good product and friendly service so that they could stay open and last. Also, what a clever business name that I love!
