Staff are so kind, and the information and views are incredible! I went on a cold, rainy day, but the battleship (USS Massachusetts) was still so beautiful! A short film played as we entered the main cabin, and we learned about her history and activity throughout her service.

We went below deck and saw the kitchen, sleeping quarters, boiler room, intelligence/control center, and some museum display cases. They also provided lunch from a small cafeteria around mid-level of the ship.

Above-deck, we entered the rear and forward 14-inch turrets and the side 5-inch turrets. The view from the bridge was also quite interesting, and I knew it would have been beautiful on a nice, sunny day!

We also saw the patrol boat, submarine, and soviet destroyer that are displayed there as well, despite the main attraction being BB-59, proudly displaying her nickname "Big Mamie

Overall, as someone who loves modern history and the complicated history of human politics and conflict, this visit was one of my most memorable experiences ever! (I only wish I could see all these ww2-era feats of engineering)

Absolutely recommend visiting with a free-access /...

A wonderful place of preserved history. For just $25 per adult, you can spend the day walking through two battleships and a submarine that survived WWII. It’s a memorable hands on experience and you learn so much. They have displays throughout the ship and pre-taped videos of war veterans who were on the ship during the war, explaining what they did on board. It was truly an unforgettable day. The ships and sub were in pretty good condition considering their age. A huge thank you to all the volunteers who work so hard to keep our history alive so that all can enjoy. I’ve shared a few pics and hope they represent the beauty of these historical relics. Note: If you don’t manage to see everything in one day, the tickets are valid for two days. So you can come back the next day, which I would recommend. There’s so much to see!! Oh, there’s a gift...

Ships are great, but the staff was rude, inconsiderate and lacks common courtesy.

No where on the website it says that the last entry is at 3.45, and we have to leave by 4.45. We drove from Ports Mouth, it's a long drive, we managed to get there at 4, hoping to meet some emphathy from the staff, but we were wrong! The staff first refused to let us in, she was worried that it'd make her stay longer! At 150 bucks for 6 people of my family, I was allowed only 45 mins there! We couldn't even enter the submarine! On our way back, I still tried to be polite and say thanks, but the two ladies there completely ignored me, not even a 'good bye', as they were talking about how to close the shop as fast as possible. Battleship Cove has amazing ships, things we can't see anywhere, but the rudeness of the staff this week left a sour...

Took my family here as a side trip while in Boston. The Massachusetts is a great self guided tour. The gun turrets are in great shape and you can imagine the functioning of the 16 inch guns. They are in better shape than the Alabama in mobile (from a corrosion perspective, but don't let that stop you from seeing the other south Dakota class ship). The destroyer and sub round out what I saw. This makes for a great day of touring. You could take 2 days (the tickets allow you to come back for a second day). While I was there the pt boats were in a recently damaged building so I couldn't see them. The hideensense was closed as well. Either way a great way to spend a day. They also have a separate museum within walking distance that shows fall river, ma passenger boat history.
