T.J. Maxx — Local services in Fargo

I stopped in on my way through Fargo to find a dress for a wedding I’m attending in a week (I live two hours away in the middle of nowhere) and I found a two piece set with a dress and a sweater that goes over top. My cashier only gave me the sweater, which I did not notice until I had gotten home. When I called to explain the situation and request that they ship me the dress, I was told they would only set it aside for me to drive two hours there to get it and two hours home. When I explained that I cannot turn around for the two hours each direction drive, the man I was on the phone with says “well to be clear, you can but you just don’t want to”

Physically, sure I COULD if I had the time but unfortunately I cannot take time off of work to drive to tj max over their own mistake. When I asked if there was someone else less rude I could talk to he refused to transfer me and continued to be rude the res of the call. Extremely disappointing customer service, coming in hot with being rude right out of the gate. Still do not have a solution whether a refund issued or a dress shipped. I’m guessing I won’t see...

Its common knowledge that T.J.Maxx is the worst possible place you can take returns. But when you change your return policy to not allow the return of items you should at least allow the customers that made the purchase before the change in policy the ability to return it. And more than that the "managers" up front are absolutely rude about it when discussing the issue. At least stop and look a person in the eye when you talk. Your a manager after all. I bought a shirt last week for my son in law, when he tried it on we noticed a hole in the side so I took it back. They refused to let me return it. I paid 14.99 for a new shirt only for it to have a hole and I can't even get my money back. Ridiculous. Not only that but my son in law is high risk and there was not a mask in sight in this store! Horrendous, I will not be coming back and im burning this shirt! I edited to add how rude the management was. They came to help me "resolve the issue" but had horrible fake smiles FELT LIKE A SLAP IN THE FACE!...
