I had to report my credit card stolen after they charged me additional money while attempting to do a refund.
They sell game systems that look like they came out of the garbage and /or are obviously broken on first sight.
I ordered an Atari 5200 system off their website about 2 weeks ago. The system arrived not as pictured...looked like it was puled from a dumpster, and was missing parts. It was supposed to come with one controller, it did, but it was so broken that obviously it wasn't going to work. It was physically cracked and fell apart in my hand. Who would even try to pass this off as anything ever??? I ordered a second controller, they sent me one, but it was obviously to a completely different game system...doesn't even plug into the 5200.
I called them on a monday to make them aware of the issues and they said they'd ship out 2 new controllers right away. 2 days later they called me to inform me they only have one replacement controller in stock and will refund me for the other one. Took them 2 days to figure this out??? At any rate I did get the one replacement controller, but it too was broken. Based on how the controllers look, I think they just took a bunch of parts from non functioning controllers and put them together hoping they'd work.
Anyway, I called them looking for a refund for the entire transaction. The guy said he didn't know how to issue a refund and asked me if I had an ideas how to issue a refund through their computer system. I, as the customer, am supposed to know how to use their computer system in order to get a refund??? The issue was that they're website says they'll pay for return shipping, but they don't know how to give me the money for the return shipping so I don't have to pay for it. Finally, they decided to email me a pre-paid shipping label and issue a refund for the original purchase minus the return shipping. I never got the return label and instead of issuing a refund they charged me another $45.00.
I was finally able to get a refund, after multiple days of working with the company, but the only way they can issue a refund is by sending money to a Paypal account. If you do not have a Paypal account they cannot issue you a refund. So, they withdrew $90 from my credit card and I had to link my bank account to it, then wait 4 days for the refund to be transferred from Paypal to that bank account so I can withdraw the cash. This is the ONLY way they can issue a refund for an entire purchase.
The company is run by people who do not know how to use their payment system and when I tried to get ahold of the President of the company, of all people he should know how to issue a refund correctly, he's NEVER available.
Don't purchase anything from their online store ever. Very likely it won't be what you ordered and if you want a refund make sure you have a Paypal account with a bank account linked to it otherwise you cannot...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI come through here primarily for disc golf, the selection of new discs is hands down the best in town and the prices are what you would expect. The used bin unfortunately has become a bit of a sore spot for myself and friends/colleagues I've spoken with as the pricing seems more than a little silly.
It seems any "premium plastic" disc is priced at $13.00 regardless of wear or origination. For example an x-out disc which runs 8-12 dollars brand new online(plus shipping under certain dollar amounts) will be priced used higher than what was paid new. Or a used disc from a local league that cost 14 new will be priced at 13 used. There also doesn't appear to be consideration of inking or wether the wear of the disc is light or heavy, the price is typically $13.00 for premium plastics.
Often times I'll have a handful of used discs that I've picked out that I end up putting back because even with the three disc discount the total just doesn't make any sense to pay when new discs are priced so similarly. I genuinely don't know what they pay for discs as I've never sold any and have no insight as to what their numbers looks like regarding what they pay and what they get out of their used bin but I would imagine at the very least more discs would sell (certainly to me) if they went back to $10.00 on some of these.
Again though, I really do like the store, solid staff and good selection and pricing of new plastic. I just think the used bin is in a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI went to the 3d rock near me to trade in a xbox 360 and some games for some cash and then I was asked to fill out a drop-off slip like normal and I left. 2 hours later I get a call being told they couldn't get past the parental controls pin and they told me they would try to guess the code a bit more. 1 hour passes and I get the final call and they tell me they'll give me 35 dollars for my gears of war xbox 360, terraria, gears of war 1 collectors edition, left 4 dead 2, the elder scrolls oblivion, a racing game, and black ops 2 because they "couldn't get past the parental controls lock" so I declined and picked it up, went home and decided to see if I could just bypass it. IT TOOK 1 GOOGLE SEARCH AND 3 MINUTES TO GET PAST THE PARENTAL CONTROLS LOCK. 35 DOLLARS FOR 7 GAMES, 2 CONTROLLERS, A SPECIAL EDITION XBOX 360, AND ALL THE CORDS BECAUSE THEY COULDNT SPEND 3 MINUTES. I will not be trading in with this place again, I wish I could put a...
