Team members at service desk lied about and none existent return policy. I came in to return an Apple watch 7. I had a VALID receipt, and an unopened item. I was told I could not return Apple products to Target, per Target and Apple's policy. They, guest service team member and Fran, went through the pretense of scanning receipt, then scanning item, then telling me the system said item can't be returned to store. I was told I would have to go to Apple, write them or call them. This isn't a cheap item and you're telling me that I'm essentially have an un opened item from your store and there's no remedy to getting a return. I said that I had never heard of this policy and asked was this policy posted. I was told that the person working in electronics should have told me. I said that I was not told this. Had I known, I would have never bought this item from them. I walked a short distance from guest service, still inside store in view of guest service. I then looked up return policy for Apple products at Target which stated that I could return item. I turned and walked back to counter, Fran tells me, "we were looking for you. They saw me. We were going to see if we could process the return because our systems have been up and down and maybe we can process it now." So it changed from, "we can't process Apple returns, to our system was down." Really? They process return then want to credit my debit. I said I prefer cash. I was told it has to be debit credit. I said no, I searched policy for return and I can return item and that when paying with debit, I can receive cash refund. Fran said there had to be enough Money in register. Another lady working next register states that Fran can get more money if needed. They process return then count out money to me. I left the store feeling like what????? I was lied to about return policy for Apple products and lied to about systems being down, lied to about having to accept a credit when paying with debit. I left that store wondering why I was even lied to? Was it because I had an apple product or me? I just don't understand why I was told an obvious lie about the return policy that could easily be checked online? When I took the unopened apple watch out the bag, he immediately said, "can't return Apple items to store". Why? The interaction with them made me feel as if I was doing something wrong. I was very upset leaving that store, to the point of tears. I guess the one good thing I can say is, they have the North Dakota nice thing down. Everyone was nice and polite, they just told lies. They stopped my shopping trip in it's tracks because after that experience, I didn't even pick up the items I wanted to get from Target. Target you lost a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI'm a recent transplant to Fargo. After living in Grand Forks for the last almost 3 years I was reminded tonight why I miss the Target there. First this 1 not a Super Target so that means that the employees can use that excuse when asking if they have a certain product. I used to shop for everything at Target. Then we went tonight and purchased some items....had coupons. Would have thought I just asked the cashier to do something. So as she rings them up 1 doesn't ring correctly and I'm told "too bad". It was a Target store coupon. Come on! Next 1 is a manufacturer coupon that won't work and she is like "here is the message I get so it won't work". She shows me the screen...I'm like "what does that say" you know since I don't work there. She then stomps her feet and with hands on hips tells me that it won't work. Uhh ok. "Why?" She then (with her ever so nice (NOT) attitude tells me to be quiet). I used to work in customer service and management and that would not have flown in my place. I then had to go to the service desk and told that she can't do anything and walked away. I'm so used to a nice, clean, and super friendly employees. Like I said a recent transplant to Fargo I have also been to corporate Targets in Minneapolis. And PS lady at customer service....my coupons that wouldn't work arecently and manager had to over ride them wasn't in your store. P.S. Even when I said I had cartwheel my cashier was huffy. It is your store...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI had purchased an item that I already had at home but simply could not find. Shortly after I got home with the new item, I found the one that I already had. I hadn't even opened the box of the new item yet. My daughter put the new item, still in its box, in an out of way spot in one of my cupboards. Needless to say, I forgot about it for 28 days. When I finally opened that cupboard and saw the items still in its box, I realized that I should take it back but I didn't have the receipt anymore. I thought I would try returning it anyway, since I knew exactly what day I had purchased it and I knew it was just under 30 days ago. I expected some sort of hassle when I got to the customer service counter with the item and no receipt. There was no hassle whatsoever. The customer service representative just asked for my phone number and the card that I had originally used to purchase the item. I received full credit for the item, deposited back on my card. There was no hassle whatsoever. It probably didn't hurt a bit that the item had not even been opened once and the box was in pristine condition, but I don't think that would have been a consideration in any case. The customer service representative might have also asked me why I wanted to return it, but I honestly don't remember if that was the...
