If I could give 0 stars I absolutely would. This was the worst experience I have ever had in a thrift store. My sister and I walk in and she has a purse no bigger than a clutch and the woman at the counter makes her lock it up. I understand some thrifts do this and that is normal so we were fine with it however, 3 women ahead of us in the checkout line all had purses that were bigger and the woman at the counter was just hateful to us about it. We go through the store and notice the pricing absolutely does not make sense on certain items, but honestly thatâs how a lot of thrifts are, so itâs annoying but definitely not unheard of. She chooses 2 beautiful lamps and I pick out a clear vase and we head to the checkout. Itâs our turn and my sister ask about something behind the counter and the lady says âwell go look at itâ and rolls her eyes at her, as if we were supposed to know people are allowed to go behind the register filled with cash. I go to check out my items first while she looks and the lady looks at me as Iâm about to pay and IDs me, which once again fine however once again all 3 ladies ahead of us used cards not cash and not a single one was carded. I obviously didnât have my ID and am in a surgical boot currently (which she most certainly noticed) so waddling in this boot that weighs 15 pounds to the car and back in for a VASE just was not an option. So she looks at me rolls her eyes again and says she will not sell to me without it, doesn't ask if I have cash or anything just completely ignores me after this. So luckily my sister has hers and just pays for it for me. She doesnât offer to wrap our glass, give us bags, or anything so one of the lamps did end up braking in the car on the ride home. I truly have never been so disrespected in a thrift store before and am amazed at how incredibly rude this woman was. My sister and I are very accommodating and respectful. Iâve worked in retail from 15-25, as did she so we understand having a bad day however this was not just having a bad day. Really unfortunate, this space is really unique and could be such...
Read moreThey definitely needed that building it was a blessing that someone donated that building to them. The workers have done a great job on organizing and overall having a very nice and clean store. Now being that said I think they need to go back through and rethink there prices since they do not have a payment to pay on that building. I strongly think they should lower there prices to prices more like the helping hand in bonne terre that place is always packed with a line waiting for them to open the doors. Because they are a thift store trying to cater to lower income individual having more reasonable pricing would strongly benefit them as well as the community. Well refreshing my review after months of the store being open. I have been in there several times and i just keep getting more disappointed in them. Is this store not meant to help the community out. Such as offering lower prices on items people need or want that can't afford to go buy at the retailer stores? Then why are they still charging outrageous prices!! I mean come on your more expensive than goodwill. Have you all forgotten you get everything donated that means you get it it for free. Your fabric is more expensive than going to hobby lobby and buying it brand new!! Most of your electronics are more expensive than to buy...
Read moreI am an advent supporter of ministerial organizations. Unfortunately I had a terrible experience while shopping in the ministerial alliance thrift store on August 2, 2021. I asked the young lady working if I could put my merchandise on the counter while I returned an item to a rack. I was told my items would be in the way of other customers. There was oneâŚyes one other customer in the whole building. I told her that I would not be making a purchase today due to her rudeness, to which I was told âoh well.â I then told the young lady I would be reporting her bad attitude to the alliance to which I was told âmy director would tell you the same thing.â This was a ridiculous verbal transaction toward someone who was going to purchase a significant amount of merchandise. They have lost my business and my future support of their organization. But the saddest part of all of this is the representation this employee has put on an organization that is aligned with community churches. The employee I dealt with today needs trained in customer service and she needs to look at how she represents her community outreach organization. Her âdonât care attitudeâ is the wrong representation of a...
