Grace's Hallmark Shop — Local services in Fayetteville

I love Hallmark stores. They always have the best card and eclectic gift selection. On average they also have friendly sales staff. Unfortunately, this store only meets half the criteria. Good selection of cards and gifts. Sales staff is not friendly. I’m a gold crown member, have been for over 25 years. We just returned to the area. I was excited to see what new Christmas was in the store. I spent a decent amount of cash in the store. Didn’t receive the calendars as other did and when I asked a question received a short curt reply. I guess I didn’t fit their usual customer profile for this location. Hallmark stores should be driving sales and growing the customer base- not driving...

Something is weird in this store, with the employees anyway. You literally asked me 3 times in 7 minutes do I need help, and as I said 2 other times "I don't, Thank you." I am browsing the plethora of knick knacks and things for sale, you know like a patron. Clearly they did not care about if I actually needed help, and just wanted me to know they were watching, or just didn't want me there. Maybe there just overzealous with help, so I continued, however, After the 4th time of being asked, and noticing there weren't asking anybody else, I put my card back in my wallet, put the items back on the shelf and left, because at that point there was no doubt what those 2...

As soon as you step inside, it's like you step into another world where details matter and soft touches are valued. They have hard-to-find cards for those lesser-known special occasions, and they have great variety and selection. I've used their balloon service, and they are always friendly as well. They have a nice array of collectibles and gifts. Now that LifeWay is closed, this may be the only local place to buy boxed Dayspring cards. Always find what I'm looking for here, and the prices are fair...
