Came in 3-17-18, 5pmish, Overall the store is very organized, clean, etc, but i was followed throughout the store by a old elder-79yo very slim maybe Italian looking man, i notice him coming around everywhere i was shopping, and he was very obvious, cause when i happen to look up while shopping, he was starring me dead in my face and i would look back directly in his face like wth is going on. It started to make me uncomfortable. I guess he thought i came to steal merchandise. I asked another worker where the restroom was, she told me as he was standing around to hear, 5-10mins later i decide to go to restroom , low and behold, look whose standing under restroom sign like a old guard dog, starring at me as i approach that area, same old gezzart, so i didnt go right then, i guess he thought i was gonna bring my several pieces of merchandise in and steal, my clothing i had on was form fitting small purse, where was i to hide/steal clothing???which i hv $ and credit i can by whatever i WANT!! He then noticed i seen him, he continued around where as i kept moving into diff depts when he came by, i was in the store 1 hour+ i dnt shop fast at all. finally as i checked out, he has standing and starring directly in my face again as i walked up, at this point i knew he had a problem, (racist, ancient, etc) because i gv him the same eyecontact and he knew. Im not sure if it was because i was an blck woman, a woman in general, or what, but his behavior/assumption was unexceptable. I ALSO heard him telling every customer whom paid and left the store hv a nice evening but when it was time for me to leave i walked passed HIM, he said NOTHING(which is fine, i just caught what was happening he didnt like that) but he greeted me when i stepped in the store initally- what went wrong afterwards???, but i hv never been treated like this in a store, i wont come back, he needs to be talked to by his boss as far as stalking shoppers or to resign, modern day shoppers of any age, gender, color dont need harassed. Another shopper probably was stealing everything, while he had his eyes solely on...
Read moreImmediately after arrival some type of alarm was going off very loudly and white flashing lights near the front door, fire alarm maybe. This went on for about 5 minutes. There were several older ladies there shopping as it was mother's day. Found some great items on clearance. When I went to check out, the cashier wasn't very personable, the lady behind me was very kind and generously offered to let me use a 30% off coupon she had and the cashier snapped, "No, everything she got is on clearance so that won't work". I thanked the lady won'ter kind gesture offering me her coupon. The cashier finished ringing my items up, stated my total, asked if it was going to be on my JCPENNEY card, told her no it was going to be paid with cash, then she just looked at me. I handed her my money, she gave me my change and threw my receipt in the bag and handed me my things and greeted the woman behind me. It wasn't the most pleasant experience especially on mother's day and I was there buying...
Read moreI love shopping clearence here, but I will say be careful because time and time again they have tables throughout with things mixed up. Despite the constant flow of what appears to be supervisors these things don't end up fixed causing customers confusion and frustration. Once in particular we had a woman ringing us up who needed to check bc the price was incorrect she checked and we were on our way back to check out when another woman literally was yelling through the store over to her that is not on sale it is not the right place, etc. I found it unprofessional and rude. Her tone and look was as if WE were trying to steal from them, not at all that HER job wasn't done leading to confused customers.
Now, I don't even shop the store. Such an embarassing...
