Do not do business with spectrum Mobile, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. My son's iPhone 11 finally died last week and we "upgraded" from spectrum. The first phone they sent didn't work well, wouldn't connect to the Internet and was all over the place in terms of signal. Home phone and Internet are through them as well. Virtual agent spent several hours trying to get the first phone to work to no avail. She ultimately suggested that we send it back and get a new one. The second one came and worked beautifully. I packed up the first one exactly how it came to me and sent it by FedEx. It pristine, like new. We had only had 3 days. Today I get a debit of over 700 dollars from my account and a vague email that says that we couldn't get full credit because it was physically damaged. I was told that there was no way to appeal that. Very frustrating since their original product was defective and started this whole process. Return or refund a defective product, do not make your customers purchase a new device and then you refuse to refund for the defective product. I am through with spectrum. This is not the first trouble we have had. Buyer beware. After my review they responded with calling them to talk to supervisor, that was a waste of time, they sent me photos of a damaged phone that was clearly not the phone that I sent back, it was not even the right color. buying a phone from them is like Russian roulette, except there's a bullet in every chamber. No matter what it is they refuse to make it right, they are clearly in it to make a buck and not worried about customer satisfaction. Do not do business with spectrum mobile. if you have to pay more to get honesty and better customer support do it. I asked for the damaged phone back since i am essence paying for it anyway and was told that once it reached their warehouse it could not be returned to me. Big red flag. because it is not the phone they sent me pictures of. I have the phone then I have proof. So even though I have paid for the phone, I am not allowed to have it back. My cell phone quit working and I cannot send text messages nor make a phone call since friday evening so I went to spectrum Sunday at 12:35 to see if I could get it fixed I stayed there until almost 6:30 and it could not be repaired so then I had to get another phone and because I had my credit frozen several years ago my credit report for them to get a credit report I had it unlocked so I went back today add try to get another phone it was a dollar something difference and they would not let me have it they told me I had to have it shipped to me in the the mail. To make sure I am who I say I am.because I may not be who I am .even though they had a picture id of me my driver's license my credit card information on me . Since the salesman was lying... the story is to long to type, but will be in the lawsuit being filed. I spoke to over 30 people who work for spectrum trying to get my issues handled and ended up disrespected, made to feel like I'm less than a man, publicly threatened and embarrassed while in the store in Florence South Carolina from around 1 pm. Until 7:30 that evening. As u write this I still don't have mobile service, but u have an active mobile account, and phone number that has never made or 🔀 a call. And the whole time I was in the store none of the associates attempted to help me, and I assumed it's because there manager was a big bully I guess, because he told me that I basically had been robbed by spectrum and if I wanted to get the calls that validates everything I've went through, that I had to get a lawyer.
