Miyabi Jr — Restaurant in Florence

We have eaten here for years. We love it. We even ate here pre covid in the days when you could make your own cups of sauces. Covid took that luxury away but you were still able to enjoy all the sauces one would want. We ate there this evening to find out that besides the white sauces you are given, the other sauces are 83 cent for a TINY cup. I know it is harder than ever for a business to make any money given the cost of supplies but 83 cent for sauces that used to be completely complimentary?? This was shocking to me as the prices for the food are high enough to where you would think that would cover the cost of any sauce you might want. I am not going to leave a low star review because I will be back but as a long time customer I had to warn others about this. I will now have to pack my own hot sauce as I could never bring myself to pay 83 cent for a sauce in addition to my $15 bowl and $2.25 drink. To the operator of the location I would just ask, is the 83 cent you’re getting for the sauce worth dissatisfying a loyal customer base? My dad eats hot sauce and mustard so he will have to pay at least $1.66 for his sauces that he will probably end up buying two of. Finally, I did not see any signage up whatsoever about the hot sauce and mustard being 83 cent. If you are going to continue this absurd policy you need to let your patrons know so they can pay for their sauce and food during the same...

Ordered takeout for the first time at this restaurant tonight and when my husband brought the food home, the order was very wrong. I ordered his plate without vegetables because he has an anaphylactic reaction to mushrooms. Of course it came full of mushrooms. I called the restaurant and reported the incident. The person that answered the phone asked if I wanted a free future order or to bring the food back to be replaced. I said I wanted a free future order because I could not return the food tonight because I was babysitting my granddaughter and her parents had just left. She then changed her mind and said the only choice I had was to bring the food back because they would not offer to replace the food otherwise. I told them to forget it, it wasn’t worth my time or effort, but they won’t get anymore of my business in the future. Bad first impression! Terrible...

Visited here for the first time and had the Hibachi Shrimp & Chicken along with the Shrimp Tempura Roll. Chicken was very dry and flavorless, but the shrimp was a little better. The rice was also flavorless (and somewhat dry) and was unlike any Hibachi Rice I’ve ever had. The white sauce was very watery and lacked flavor as well. The sushi was very average and not something I would get again or recommend. Overall, was surprised at how flavorless the food was, especially for $25 with a drink. Too many similar style places with more flavorful food, so likely won’t visit this location again. Restaurant was clean, employees were friendly, and they give you plenty of condiments (white sauce, soy sauce, etc.) with your order, so rating the overall...
