I seldom leave a bad review as I understand life is not easy for everyone, but I can't help doing it this time as I feel it's my responsibility to let people know what kind of doctor she is based on my true experience. I completely agree with two previous reviewers that this doctor has an exceptional hunger for money. Having exactly the same experience with a previous reviewer, I made an appointment specifically for my annual physical exam and she asked me whether I had any concerns during the exam. Naturally, I responded. Then I received a big bill. I went there in person to explain my physical exam should be 100% covered, and the front desk agreed to talk to the doctor about it. However, I received the bill in the mail again after a few weeks. I then called the office and Maria (rudely) insisted that my physical exam should be considered a sick visit because I raised concerns during the exam. I explained that I should be informed if my physical exam was automatically turned into a sick visit just because I responded to the doctor’s question. I also requested Maria to talk to the doctor and kindly share with me the results of their decision by phone. I received no reply from Maria or anyone else from the office. Instead, a debt collector contacted me asking for payment. I still can’t believe this experience is true! If all she cares is money, she should stop being a doctor. The doctor prescribed me a blood test with a lab, as part of my physical check last year. I pretty much knew what the outcome would be and the lab also sent me the results which aligned with my expectations. However, the doctor’s office called me and insisted to have me schedule a follow up session for this lab result. Then I made an appointment with a nurse practitioner (the doctor was not available). On the appointment I did nothing but just listen to the nurse practitioner reading my results again. This is completely useless and a waste of my time (I got good insurance coverage so mostly is wasting time). I think most of us understand in this country we have a shortage in medical resource.
