The Great Greek Mediterranean is my go to restaurant when desiring Greek food. We missed not seeing Helen and Mike but I guess everyone needs a day off. As always the lamb skewers are perfectly prepared and cooked exactly to my preferred medium doneness. The special herbs are lip smacking good. Next is the Greek salad which is so fresh and crisp and I love that it’s not just lettuce but prepared with cut up tomatoes, cucumbers, red onions black olives and topped with some Feta cheese and freshly made dressing. We also enjoyed the slightly charred pita bread triangles with tzatziki sauce. Everything is so fresh and delicious. Brian was a delight and took the time to speak with us for a few minutes even though he still had so much to do in the kitchen. The server was friendly and professional. This restaurant’s location is situated near the Florham Park Diner. But every time we plan on going to the diner we end up at this restaurant instead. I didn’t think to take a photo because we just couldn’t wait one more second to dig in and gobble up all that goodness. We will be back soon! P.S, I only gave 3 stars for the atmosphere because the chairs are metal and cold especially on a rainy day. This was easily remedied when I switched to a...
Read moregreat find..!! I regularly visit trader's joe in that area and it's located just next to it.
so it's not your typical halal gyro food. it has a greek touch to it and surprised by the fresh ingredients they offer. I was told today its salad- sandwich (not entree)-Drink and dessert
I ordered -- greek salad- The portion is huge, which means one can be full by just having this. with each bite, you can sense how fresh it is. greek gyro (chicken) - Gyro stuffed with sauce, grilled chicken, feta, and tomato- again even for me, it's a mouthful but has good taste.
(though I was really looking for Lamb souvlaki (seen some pics in the review but I was told, it's only a sandwich. no issues, I am definitely going to visit this especially for Lamb souvlaki and feta fries) and Baklava - sweet but good
also ordered separate- Hummus. big fan of pita bread and chickpea hummus - it was great.
I got to know it is originally owned and operated by a Greek/Armenian family but is now taken care of by jones.
finding parking can be a bit tricky but there's a lot at the back end so drive through and...
Read moreOrdered online for take-out on a Saturday for 6pm. New place was busy and they are definitely finding their footing. But 6-7 kitchen staff, 3 front counter order pickers, and a cashier were all working hard. Once they find their full groove I’m sure they will be fine. Our order included grilled chicken and steak souvlaki platters (kebabs), and were cooked perfectly, tender, and delicious. I just had to heat them up for a minute in the microwave. Also a greek salad wrap with chicken added which was also very good. Most dishes come with Tzatziki sauce and pita bread. I ordered a side of hummus to try it but note the side portion is a very small container (often used in most places for dressing or condiments) so if you prefer it, order the larger appetizer version. If they hit this mark consistently I will not hesitate to strongly recommend. Welcome to the...
