So itās Christmas time and I am in the store to buy Christmas gifts. All I wanted was a few sets of earrings and maybe a necklace. The little old lady behind the counter was one of the most unpleasant people that Iāve run into lately. I knew that there was probably going to be a difference in Price because I was at two different stores. I started at Macyās. They had the very same earrings that I wanted to get for someone but they were priced 2x as much as they wouldāve been from Macyās. I showed the lady the ad she refused to match the price, she was convinced that they were the exact same earrings, but refused to match the price. After much coercion, she eventually did match the price. I bought more stuff I got to the checkout with her and she never offered me the thing that we were supposed to get when we purchased $50 or more. She never mentioned it. I asked her about it and she denied that it even existed. The aggravation is real folks. I headed towards the exit with my purchases and decided to ask another young lady that was working behind the perfume counter. She said she believes that there is such a thing and that she would check on it. She came back with the gifts. I told her of my displeasure with the other lady and she just nodded and smiled and told me merry Christmas. Customer Service just is not what...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI visited Belk (Store #379) at the Flower Mound, TX location and left just a few minutes ago. Upon arrival, I requested assistance from Associate #004146 as I had a few items to return that did not fit that I recieved for my upcoming birthday. The Associate warned me that she may be unable to accept my items and requested that I look for replacement items while she spoke with her manager. I left the items with her as I attempted to find the same items in the proper size. Without success, I walked back to communicate with her that I was unable to find the items. She informed me that she wouldn't be able to accept them and began handing them to me when I noticed that she had accidently marked one of the items with red ink so she accepted the return AFTER I had asked for her to do so. Once I left the Customer Service Desk, I walked around and was browsing different items when I overheard the Associate talking badly about me to another employee and saying some incredibly rude things. I walked around looking for a different associate and a younger female (who was incredible) contacted the manager (who was also amazing) and the manager came out...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI walked into Belk with dreams of retail therapy and maybe a cute top or two. Instead, I was greeted by the fires of Mordor and Carol, the gatekeeper of all that is petty.
First of all, Belk, why was it approximately 112 degrees inside your store? I was sweating like a sinner in church just flipping through clearance racks. Pretty sure I left with a tan line from the fluorescent lighting alone.
Then came Carol. Oh, Carol. With a name tag as sharp as her side-eye and a voice that could curdle oat milk. She looked me up and down like I was a suspicious coupon code and informed meāloudlyāthat the sale I clearly saw advertised in the window "doesn't apply to that rack." Maāam, itās a rack of sadness and last seasonās capris. Let me live.
I left Belk empty-handed, overheated, and emotionally drained. 10/10 do not recommend. Unless you enjoy humidity, confusion, and passive-aggressive customer service from a woman who definitely hates her job more than I hate...
