Let me start off this review by saying I created a google account solely to leave this review. This place is the trashiest store I have ever been too. The employees are extremely rude, and management does nothing but encourage this behavior. Tonight, I called ahead to make sure they were accepting buys because OFTEN, they leave signs on the door or tell you once you carry all of your heavy items inside that they are not accepting anymore buys for the evening. After confirming that they were accepting buys, I toted my two bags to the store- only to be told once I arrived that they were only accepted one bag per person because they were understaffed. Shocking! Let me also say that the staff is openly put out anytime they see someone come into the store with items. I get it, it creates more work for them, but this is your JOB!! Fake happiness like the rest of us who have to work. After waiting for about an hour, ( it’s a little before 7PM ) I made my way to the front to ask what time they were closing. They let me know that they close at 8PM, and I could come back tomorrow to pick up my items because they probably wouldn’t text me until 7:45PM that my items were ready. KEEP IN MIND- my printed receipt that I received when dropping off my items says that I have to pick up my items the same day I drop them off or they will be donated and I will loose any cash value of my items. I head home and after talking with my husband, decide I would just go back up to the store to pick up my items and return tomorrow to start over. So when I get to the store, I let the joke of a “manager” Lexi know that I would like to pick up my items and return tomorrow. She brings over my items, and I see she has already sorted through my buy, and the store was going to be purchasing 80% of the items I brought in. As a favor to her and the work she had already done, I let her know that if she wrote on my printed receipt that I could pick my items up tomorrow instead, I would be comfortable leaving my items there and picking up tomorrow. Lexi then rudely snaps at me, “ I already told you that you could pick up your items tomorrow.” I told Lexi, “ and while I appreciate that, my receipt says otherwise so if you could just write down that you are saying otherwise, I’ll leave my items with you.” She says she will do that, but then turns her head and starts laughing with two other employees at me. I said to Lexi “ the fact that you are a manager and would allow and incite these other employees to laugh at me for asking a question says a lot about what kind of manager you are.” Lexi then said that she “ didn’t see them laughing because she was talking to me.” SHE INCITED THE LAUGHING by looking at them and implying I was in the wrong for wanting a little note on my receipt so I didn’t forfeit all my belongings that I brought in. I have made a complaint to the store manager, Shannon, about Lexi once before, and still her poor attitude remains. The employees treat people this way because management sets the bar and says it’s ok to do so. While I really love the concept of being able to buy used children’s clothing and sell my children’s used clothing, I cannot continue to give business to a place that allows these kind of people to represent their business. DO NOT SHOP HERE. DO NOT give bad...
Read moreWe had been coming to this place since our daughters were toddlers. Now they are pre teen. Everytime we were greeted cheefully and the clerks would make cute comments on our choices.
Not this time.
First, we got "greeted" by a bleached blonde male (nothing against his appearance, just a description so you know who I am talking about) who didn't even said hi... When my wife showed him a bag of shoes we had brought for sale he just barked... "Uhhh we stopped buying for today."
Maybe our fault. It was after all... 5:10 pm when they close at 6. Ok fine... I've worked retail and I know how frustrating it is to try to close when the day is almost over but customers keep coming in.
But we needed a couple of dresses and we had driven here instead of getting a cake at the Flour Shop... So we were committed. I was not going to get my cake... so at least we could get those dresses.
We did the normal process of searching as fast as possible for our needs and then try them on, etc. Then we proceeded to the check out at around 5:45.
We stand there with our selections and no one from the 6 or 7 teens sorting clothes makes eye contact. A couple of minutes pass... They keep looking at each other trying to ignore us until finally a thin blonde young woman takes our money.
Non of the usual pleasantries like "did you find all" or even hello. She is evidently upset that she ended ringing us out. She even looked upset that my wife handed her a frequent shopper card. And sort of slammed the hangers on the desk.
Then we walk to the door. Again, this was about 5 to 10 minutes till close and the door was locked. We stood there waiting for someone to unlock it... The bleached blonde boy looked at us... Then turned away... So we just helped ourselves out.
Quick note about the door. It is against the law to lock in customers. It goes against local ordinances and federal laws. I understand this is a pretty "standard" retail practice but one that is not legal and in a store filled with tons of synthetic fivers, highly dangerous.
A really terrible experience. Even my daughters commented on it.
We understand that for these kids this might be a summer seasonal or similar job, and this is just something to do to get money for the movies but... Even if a clerk is paid a minimal wage, customers deserve to be treated with dignity and respect. I expect this at McDonalds, I don't see why I should expect any less here.
If these workers don't like this, just stay home and let someone else who needs the job and wants to do it the right...
Read moreThis was honestly the worst experience I have ever had at any store I have EVER been to. First off, first time going, we go drop off clothes around 4:30pm and provide contact information, they say it will be 15 minutes that is all that was said. I was honestly chocked how quick the entire process was. Looking back I should've asked more questions. We look around for a few minutes, purchase a book for our son then noticed that nothing we brought had been touched. We then decide to leave then come back whenever we get a call or text from them. Well that NEVER happened. Go back a few days later only to be HOUNDED at by an older lady with brown hair insisting that they reached out to us and going ON & ON & ON about the whole spiel they give people about their rules and how its same day service and how we are wrong and lying. Well, honestly they saw us leave the day of and didn't think to call or text us to let us know its same day service and that we needed to come back. There was no communication on their end. This woman was so combative for no reason, we were literally just there to get store credit and buy other items. I have always been a fan of resale shops and was hoping to come to this one since it is close to us. The woman then tells us to go to a cashier and the poor girls face explained it all. Apparently this woman is just like this. The woman kept hounding us over about not bringing the pink copy receipt with us, which again we were not told to. The cashier then tells us she would just give us our money so we could head out. I have never felt so unwelcome to any store my entire life. That woman really needs to be sat down with and have a conversation and learn how to effectively communicate with people. At this point I am happy to make the drive and give my business to other resale shops I have used...
