This WAS my favorite pizza place. But after 2 consecutive horrible experiences, I will not be ordering from here again. First, I got a regular cheese pizza to share with my 2 year old daughter. I guess they have some kind of reaper pepper challenge (which I would NEVER do to my toddler). Thank God it was me who got the slice with a VERY HOT pepper hidden inside the cheese. The staff when the owner isn’t around is mediocre, they don’t possess very strong communicative skills.
The pizza is great, and honestly the review would be 5 stars, if they would communicate just a little bit..
We called ahead, and asked if they were running behind. We explained we were ordering 9 pizzas for a large group, we were told there wasn’t a wait, we immediately placed the order, drove the 30 minutes to the the store, when we arrived at our specific order time, we were told only 2 of the pizzas were in the oven, after a significant wait we finally received our order…

I love zalat pizza so much! Last night I ordered one pizza over the phone. When I got there they were swamped. The manager or person in charge was so behind but did so good not showing any stress to the customers. When I was up to pay they didn’t have my order. The new employee who took my phone order didn’t put it in. They apologized, had my pizza done in about 10 minutes and didn’t charge me. I tried to still pay but the manager wouldn’t take it. I knew it was an honest mistake and EVERYONE is so short staffed now but he insisted it was on the house. I give major props to him for not losing his cool and still making the best pizza in the universe! Way...
