I have gone back and forth on whether to post this review but if it helps address an employee who could be more mindful of their words in the future, then it will be worth the effort.
I entered the store this morning and was greeted by an employee. She asked if I needed any assistance and I said I was browsing. She was very nice and said if I needed help to please let her know.
I ended up in the Mac section, still browsing, and a second employee approached me to ask if I needed help finding anything. I also told her I was just looking around. She then commented on a blemish on my cheek saying “you have quite a bad breakout here” while pointing to my cheek area. She asked if I would like any recommendations and I said no thank you, that I have items from my dermatologist. She then reached out and touched my face!! Then commenting on my skin’s dryness in that area, due to my acne topicals, she said I needed a new foundation. I told her I have one I like, named the brand and she argued it was the wrong foundation for me. What?
If the goal was to sell a product, this approach is very offensive. I understand their job is to provide recommendations but I had already said no thank you. Then to be critical of a customer’s appearance and touch their face unwarranted? I find this to have the opposite effect. I felt embarrassed and like leaving the store rather than completing the purchase of the items I had chosen.
I hope this employee will be addressed and be more mindful of how they speak to customers going forward. I’ve always had great experiences at this location but this makes me very wary to return.
I am happy to provide details to assist in identifying this employee if asked but would prefer to not put them on blast here like...
Read moreSTUPIDITY with ARROGANCE Date 3/28/23 , I visited Ulta Beauty flower Mound at 5:30 pm cst Purpose : To return and re purchase on different card Cashier : Tabitha and her Manager ( name not known let’s call her Karen) Stupidity : There were 8 items in the bill total $268 , when she booked for return it came for $177 . She re scanned it for $271 and asked me to pay it . Royal Question: Items I bought for 268 and I got a return of 177 and I have to pay back 271 to purchase it again ? Why where did my $90 go. Casual Answer came from cashier :You used points and now pay $271 Hey Tabitha I points used was for only $3 dollars , what happened to my $90 ?
Royal Tabitha answer: I can’t help speak to my manager . Later manager came did not even look at me or acknowledged, as she was carrying universe on her head . Both took a marker went item by item , come on there are only 8 items . They found the solution to the puzzle . Tabitha missed to scan one big item while she was trying to return . Manager went off again not even looking at customer, Tabitha was unapologetic, she handled the return of one item . It is clear stupidity and no humbleness or apology for this ordeal where Tabitha was asking me just pay . Not sure what these cashiers think of themselves, if a customer is not alert they will be looted . Would request everyone to be alert while dealing with these cashiers who doesn’t know the work but attitude is...
Read moreProbably the worst experience I’ve had since living in Texas. Never in my life have I ever felt so uncomfortable and racially profiled in a place where the focus is customer experience! As soon as I walked in NOT ONE PERSON greeted me not that I was expecting anything but it definitely set the tone of how your overall experience will be. There a was girl that made eye contact with me first thing and as I went to the fragrance section she started following me. I thought to myself I know what this is! One girl finally came up to me about 20 minutes into my shopping and asked if I needed help while literally the manager and his employees were standing diagonally from me in the store. I told the girl thank you for actually acknowledging my presence you have been the first one to do so. Then I was left alone for about five minutes and here comes the same girl ( the one I first made eye contact with) following up behind me. I finally asked may I help you? She looked stunned and then had the audacity to ask me if I needed help with anything. I said no thank you! Went to the counter when I got to the register another employee was trying to convince me to get something that I told her I didn’t want. She caught an attitude. Overall the experience sucked and they suck. Excluding the one young lady who did care enough to ask if I needed help. Never knew me being black was an issue when buying fragrance...
