UPDATE: I am adding stars back to my review because the owner/manager clearly takes pride in her customer service and truly wants her guests to have an incredible experience. Although my nails werenāt great, the environment is definitely top notch as I stated and backed-up from the other stellar reviews, I think I just had a misfortunate isolated experience. I am incredibly impressed with the quality and pride she takes in her salon. I would definitely recommend going to see Chloe and her staff just setting maybe a clear expectation of what you are looking for. I plan to revisit the salon and will definitely be updating my review again, as Iām confident this was just an isolated incident. **
I contemplated leaving a review because the owner and staff were so nice! But I hit up a new place because I happened to be in Highland Village and from the moment I walked in, I was greeted kindly and showed a picture of what I wanted.
I will start by saying Dee did an amazing job on my pedicure and the owner was pleasant through everything. Also, my nail tech (name not disclosed on review for privacy but happy to share with owner) was also incredibly kind and friendly. HOWEVER, he definitely was not experienced to do a simple short almond nail with simple nail design which I opted out of after the painful and not aesthetic service I was getting. I had a photo of how short I wanted my nails and I kept having to ask for shorter and they still were extremely long when I left. I could have dealt with that but the problem was the shaping and OVER-filing. Most of my nails were over-filed and broke the skin on almost all my nails to the point of bleeding (see photos) and the shape just was not clean or consistent. I ended up going to my regular salon right after to get them redone (so painful due to the acetone to soak off and all the damage but I couldnāt live with the nails for them to heal). The point is, not every nail tech can perform certain shapes, etc. This should be taken into major consideration when a customer shows what they want from the moment they walk in ā the owner should really take this into consideration when assigning...
Ā Ā Ā Read more8/4/25 Update: (Updated) Milano Spa/Jeremy, thank you for Reaching out so quickly in regards to the negative experience we had yesterday/Sunday. Receiving a call from you was unexpected, but certainly appreciated! Happy to hear about the expectations you have out of your staff and yourself and your willingness to have us come in again for a better experience at a discounted rate. Very kind and considerate of you, now looking forward to a better experience in the near future as we return !! :-) End of update āāāāāāā- Regarding todayās visit at 10am, 8/3/25: we had an appointment for 10am but was able to walk in a few moments early and picked out nail colors before being led to our chairs. While the Mrs received attention right away regarding her pedicure and manicure, I had to wait 5ā10 minutes before someone came out to start my pedicure and then another 10 minutes after that before someone came out to start my manicure. I ended up with Grace and Cathy. While both ladies did a great job with the services they provided on me, Grace easily was the more positive and friendly. The duo , Ben and a young lady who did not have a name tag on at the time, that assisted the Mrs looked like they had no interest in being there whatsoever; no Smiles, no positive vibes, just uninterested. And Benās manicure work needs to improve based on how a few of the Mrs nails turned out. Although what seemed like everyone else in the same room having been served complementary drinks, the host working in the room did not ask us about wanting any drinks until our services were wrapping up and getting ready to put our shoes back on/gather our belongings. He then asked if he wanted a drink for the road and we seriously replied in unison: no thank you. There were a few ladies in the room that even had several refills drinks a piece while we were never offered any until the very end. Disappointing overall especially when you consider that tips for the employees are on the line.
Unless we are contacted about being given some type of discount to a future visit, I anticipate todayās visit being our last. Not an unfair statement at all, based on our...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreUpdate (given the response): I had no extensions. It was dip on my natural nails and Iāve never been charged that amount anywhere for that. And how would I have known to say something during the manicure if that hadnāt been communicated to me at all???? On top of all of that, one of my nails just chipped. So I got a whopping three days out of this manicure. Iām not interested in coming by for a ācorrection toward my next visitā because there will not be a next visit. For the price (even if there had not been an absurd up charge), the quality was absolutely not worth it. Also just added a photo of right under my cuticles (plus the chipped nail) looking like a hot mess now even though those were taken care of during the manicure too. My nail beds were tender for a few hours after the manicure and it was pretty uncomfy, like I had to ice my hands to get it to calm down. I didnāt include that in my initial review because at the time, I was still just trying to find some saving grace of dropping this much on this.
āāāāāāāāāāāāāāāāāāāāā-
Super nice and friendly (service-wise). Great interior with so many color options.
Ok enough job on the actual nails. I have a few tender cuticles and one of my toes doesnāt look great when you look up close. I didnāt notice until after I left when I also was trying to figure out why that toe didnāt look filed down correctly.
The bigger issue that I had with everything thatās going to prevent me from going back is that I selected the milk and honey pedicure ($50) and the deluxe manicure ($20) and my total came out to $130 (before tip). I understand an extra charge for removing polish (I had basic polish on my fingers that took three seconds to remove and gel polish on my toes) but it seems a little strange that equates to a $60 difference. So Iām not really sure what happened there and whatever else was possibly added and I didnāt ask because I donāt like confrontation but Iām just gonna go ahead and pass...
