I normally do not give the highest rating available, but this visit to the store warrants it only because of the exemplary customer service we received from Kim in the framing department. We have made quite a few trips to this store in the year that we have lived in Foley. Sometimes we were greeted, sometimes we were helped and sometimes no one acknowledge us. We have come to chalk it up to poor customer service and training. We had a very old religious picture that needed a frame. Kim acknowledge us right away, made multiple suggestions (that were fabulous!), and re-framed, re-matted and completed our picture in a very timely fashion. She was knowledgeable and skilled, and very professional. She went above and beyond in her dealings with us. All the time she was "working" on our picture, she was friendly, engaging and even had a little treat in her pocket for our service dog. In addition, she never missed a beat providing customer service and acknowledgement to other customers that came into her department while she was finishing up our picture. I have 25 plus years in HR and Kim is precisely the type of employee that made my job so much easier. I would not hesitate to hire her, and would definitely consider her a key player in my succession planning goals. Hobby Lobby your have yourselves a true...
Read moreI love shopping at hobby lobby and actually use to work for one as a department manager, so I know how things work there. This location is by far one of the worst I’ve been in. Sadly I don’t enjoy going to this location because the customer service is awful, staff is so rude and seem so unhappy. They have no welcoming energy, no smiles. I went in today to return 3 items (that NEVER go on sale) I didn’t have my receipt but it shouldn’t matter because the item is the same price all the time. Margo, I believe was her name (whoever she was, very miserable old woman) tried to tell me she was going to take 50% because I didn’t have my receipt. How does that make sense? The item never goes on sale, there for you know for a fact i payed full price when I purchased them. So this would have been as easy as typing the items in and giving me my money. Instead she had me use my card to look up my receipt and drag the process out even more. Seems like all the older lady’s have terrible attitudes. Try to go to one of the young nice lady’s. I really don’t know how this location is able to act this way because the locations I’ve worked at, management would have never let their employees...
Read morePrices are over priced compared to other stores but they do have good sales weekly. Some of the staff are very rude. I've been told by a young manager that I was not able to purchase an item I went in for. They knew that item was about to be marked down to clearance price and they had it in the office waiting for said price change and he told me they were out of stock. I know this because the empty box was on the sales floor and i asked another employee if they had any and she told me yes. When she left to get it the manager came back instead and said that clearance prices on that item haven't been marked down yet and that the ones they had were already claimed by employees. When i told him i wasn't interested in the clearance price i just wanted the item he then said they were out of stock. I called and asked corporate if they are allowed to do that and they of course said no but nothing ever came of it. They are also not knowledgeable in policies as they let my daughter buy a very expensive item before telling her there were no exchanges or refunds. HL employees should know and practice letting customers know before they buy if an item is...
