“The Shark Store” — a cute, little landmark for kids visiting Folly.

Good news (compared to previous reviews), there was not a woman behind the counter when we were there. Items were organized on the shelves; tight walking area but typical for what we find in most beach-themed stores. Gentlemen was friendly at the counter; he seemed to be the owner perhaps as we saw him run the counter of the across the street shop two hours prior.

It’s your typical beach shop. Lower ended-quality toys, location branded apparel, sunglasses, flip flops, beach gear, mugs and magnets, etc. The selection was almost identical to the shop across the street; we felt it could have more variance / things that make it different (having that shark out front is such a landmark to capitalize on to make the store memorable). A very cute store, a lot of nice clothes, but, i came in last night at my last day on folly beach and bought a jacket, two anklets, and a keychain. I paid about $70 and when i got back to the car to leave i opened my bag and realized one of the anklets were not actually put into the bag. I understand the cashier may have just accidentally knocked it off the counter or missed it but i’m super sad that i paid for it and did not get it, it was the prettiest one :(. there’s no way i could’ve dropped it because i never once opened the bag until the car ride home, it went straight from the store...

Purchased a ceramic ornament which was broken. Sadly I didn't notice until I got to the hotel and unwrapped it to show my husband. Went back to exchange it with the receipt the person was rude to both me and my husband was acting like she was going to assault us. She said it wasn't broken when she put it in the bag I said then why aren't the pieces in the bag. She said no return no exchange but would do 50percent off another one. I said why would I buy another item in here with such her being rude. I would use caution buying a thing in here they obviously screw their...
