Upscale Thrift Shop — Local services in Folsom

Upscale Thrift in Folsom, CA is a better than average Thrift store with decent prices. There is a vintage section with some really cute clothes. There is a section for plus size women with current styles that will make you feel like a queen. All the clothing is steamed for the floor and looked over carefully to make sure it's clean and in good condition. The shoe section is full of great brands like Born, Keen, 9 west, etc. There is a men's section, while small, it has quite a variety of quality clothing.

The store has some beautiful antiques, as well as modern items, kitchen ware, some small furniture items and lamps, books, vinyl and custom.

I'm curious if anyone else has experienced this... Purchased a dress that had a tag on it that said it was $10.98 I got rung up by the gentleman at the register and he charged me $15.98 plus tax which came to $17.86. I didn't think anything of it at first, but when I got to my car I checked to see how much the tag was because I was pretty sure it was $10.98. The tag had been removed from the dress by the gentleman at the register. I thought this very odd. Disappointed to say the least but if it cost me an extra five bucks to now know not to shop here...

After reading the 5 star reviews here, I wonder if I was in the same shop. Stopped by today for the first time. Smelled funky, two people behind the counter, one buried in his phone (I said, "How's it going?" and he never looked up) and the other never made eye contact much less greeted us. One other in the back area, same non-greeting. Decent selection of clothes, good prices, definitely has vintage house items. Just got a bad vibe, so we left. Maybe we caught them...
