Plum Natural Wellness — Local services in Forest City

I was taken aback as I came into this store on yesterday. I was told by my doctor that I could get Black Cohosh there to help with my night sweats. Being my first time there, entering the store I noticed 3 ladies gathered around the register and (Like they do at Walgreens) I expected a friendly Hello. Instead I wasn't greeted at all; the quietness was so noticeable that I said, "It's quiet." That's when one of the ladies said, "We're staring at you." I continued searching for the paper that had the name of the product written on it. I gave it to one of the ladies saying my gynecologist said you might have this. One of the ladies took the paper and walked to the area where the products were. We had small talk about the product. A different lady rang me up, I tried to make small talk by saying comically, "I hope this works." Her response was, "Do you want your receipt." As I left the store, I expected to hear, Thank you, come back. I got nothing. I had never experienced such coldness and can't help but wonder...Was is my race? Surely not in 2024! Was it that you were ready to leave? But it was 4:30, and they close at 5:00. What about me prompted them to be unfriendly? Whatever the case, "I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel." I pray that those ladies will learn to treat others the way they want...

Holy cow, what a pretentious and unwelcoming place. This is a very, very small and limited store. There were three employees, (and no customers) who seem to be trying to pretend and dress like they are in an executive office. No “hello,” no, “can I help you”.. no eye contact, save a side eye, as they quietly moved away from my presence to resume their conversations in the farthest corner. The products stocked are mostly, if not all found at the ingles down the street, but horribly marked up. They carry a very few off brand supplements, but a quick Amazon search will save you considerably, if you’re considering purchase. If you assert yourself to ask for assistance, or, god forbid, ask them to produce a smoothie: You will be met with the disdain, arrogance and rudeness associated with the bored housewives of successful husbands, that I assume financed this farce of a business. They are open from 10-5, but closed...

I was so excited when I find out there was a natural store somewhat in the area I normally drive through, and I've been wanting to go here for months. I finally went there today for the first time, and I was a little disappointed when I first walked in and no one acknowledged me. I didn't even receive a hello or Welcome to Plum Natural, and I was the only one there. There were three ladies there sitting at a table and I didn't even know where anything was nor was I asked for help. After walking around for more than 10 minutes I finally found what I was looking for and got something extra. I really like what they have and I would like to return again, but I just wish there was more customer...
