Much of the food was dry and stale. I dined at Dragon Palace at approx. 6:00 PM so some of the food was probably left over from a day earlier. The waitress was very nice and attentive. When I went to check out and pay my bill an approximately 10 year old boy who was the only person in the chekout area ignored me for about 2 minutes (he was playing video games on his phone). I raised my voice on the 3rd attempt to get his attention. He looked up and said "What do you want"? I explained that I wanted to pay and that I had been standing there about 2 minutes, he said "That's not true". So.... I paid and his mother (the hostess) happened to be sitting on a bench in the lobby, I told her about her son ignoring me for an excessive amount of time, she said "thank you" and I left. I do not plan on returning any time soon, at least for several years. Maybe they will get the message that they can't get repeat customers by serving dry/stale food. I see numerous reviews stateing the same dissatisfaction...
Read moreTotally different from what it was a year or so ago. The place would open only to be closed by the health department. Now it is totally different, very clean, very elegant, race-friendly family-friendly and also very great made food. The waitresses are hard-working and courteous. When I went there today there were about 35 people in there eating including a retired Magistrate. Most of the people there were middle class and lower middle class and there were some construction workers in there though the place would be perfect for a suit and tie affair. When dragon Palace originally opened over 20 years ago it was crowded alot then after the original owner retired it went downhill. Now it is back up to par. And they have a rewards program. Conveniently located just off highway 74 across from Walmart. I do not recommend crossing the road to go to Walmart it is very dangerous there. #Chinese #Asian #dining #nc #NorthCarolina #chineserestaurant #business #restaurant #racefriendly...
Read moreAfter having eaten there about a year ago, we went back with our family, all the time telling them how good the food was. We are from Orlando and the rest of the family, from NC, had not eaten there. Boy, were we Wrong! Mei Fun noodles tasted like fish oil. The peel & eat shrimp had a slimy texture! The snow crab legs were a greenish color. The Mongolian BBQ was flavorless. The Beef on a Stick was flavorless. The hot oil - ?? - what was that? Sure not hot oil. Have you ever had flavorless lychees? They are here. Only thing we found OK was the fried chicken because it was freshly cooked, green beans and the jello. Looking back, we're all surprised any of us ate what we did (which wasn't much for the $18.99 ea price tag) but we starved all day to eat at an all you can eat buffet, as if that's an excuse. Way way way over priced. Long drive...
