Santa Fe Craftsman — Local services in Fort Collins

I have been a loyal customer of this store for over 15 years and have always admired its beautiful jewelry and excellent service. Unfortunately, my experience today was far from the positive interactions I’ve come to expect. I visited the store to exchange a ring that was sold to me as a size 7 but turned out to be a 6.5. The issue with the size was not a major concern as I was advised I could simply exchange it for something else. Moreover, when I purchased the ring, I was informed that resizing might not be possible due to the stones, so I was prepared to select a different ring in the correct size.

However, one of the owners showed little interest in assisting me or helping me find an alternative. The lack of engagement was so noticeable that even my 11- and 15-year-old daughters, upon leaving the store, asked why the lady behind the counter was so rude. I was at a loss for an explanation and simply suggested that sometimes people have bad days and may not realize how their behavior comes across.

PLEASE DON’T BUY AS A GIFT … or maybe at all.

Two experiences, both quite lackluster. Very strict no return policy even when they were gifts. Couldn’t resize the ring purchased from them.

“Quality style” craftsmanship is basically equivalent to them saying “select” beef. Basically the lowest quality you can buy. Everything is uneven and unaligned. I really don’t know how this store has stayed in business with their quality somehow getting even worse.

Would upload photos of most recent piece from their store but I just opened the box and was so appalled by the lack of well really anything that I had to write this review so people stop buying other people gifts from this store. Can upload photos in future after figuring out how to proceed knowing my loving family members just got duped for hundreds of dollars for something worth maybe $20 at best.

I got the opportunity to learn about their jewelry from an event they hosted for the Chamber and was very impressed by their commitment to support the beauty of Navajo art. When my mother came to Colorado to visit me over her birthday I stopped in to see if I could find something special for her and stumbled upon a beautiful heart-shaped turquoise pendant to wear as a necklace.
