We had different experience here. He isn’t a bad doctor and I wanted my husband to visit a dermatologist as he hadn’t been to one in years.

I asked the receptionist after my own appointment with Dr Elias if they accept Florida Blue. She said yes so I made an appointment.

When he got there he asked again, because he pays a lot for his insurance he would never dream of seeing a Dr who doesn’t accept it. Especially since there are so many who do.

So when he asked again one of the girls took his card to the back and she returned and said, you’re good.

After the appointment they hand him a bill for $140 and he says you told me I’m good, you take Florida Blue. She just shrugged her shoulders and said nothing. The other receptionist said, we do take Florida Blue, but not Blue Select (which is the one he has and also the most popular.)

So basically they just lied about accepting his insurance so he would go into the appointment and then be forced to pay.

Obviously, the amount of the bill is irrelevant. But the fact that they out and out lied IS relevant. Will not go back there for...

My daughter lives out of town however when in Ft Lauderdale she was a patient of Dr. Matthew Elias. Due to his high tech communication I was able to send photos of her current injury late last night. Although we were advised my daughter needed to seek immediate treatment in her current city it was a relief to have communication with my dermatologist. We were messaging and sending photos through their system late into the evening. If you are a patient and not signed up through his office portal, please do it. I didn't realize it but someone is there to chat with you and contact the doctor if necessary. My last communication from the Dr was at 2am!! (What doctor does this!!!)

This was my first time visiting this office which had already been recommended by several friends. I went in for cool tone. Loved my experience from start to finish. The office is beautiful, the staff was very friendly, and they have all the newest procedures available. Dr Elias is super knowledgeable and professional and Felicia, the cool tone specialist was amazining. She explained everything perfectly and what to expect .
