We rode on Amtrak to get to Ft. Lauderdale, and we booked our stay at this hotel, which is a new hotel, I'm told was built in December 2024, and it still looked new and well maintained and clean throughout. This hotel is not on the beach but is a very short walk to the beach and loads of restaurants are in safe walking distance, with sidewalks and traffic lights for safe pedestrian crossing. The hotel has no interior corridors, they have an outside look to the corridors to the rooms, but the difference is that you have to go through the inside of the lobby to get to the rooms, so that helps it to feel more secure although your room door is with an outside corridor to come and go. Your room exterior door is truly outside, and is part of the courtyard that overlooks the swimming pool. The only negative is that the daylight shines through your room door from the crack around the seam of the door, which is because there is no interior corridor to the rooms. Also there is a person at the front desk 24/7, and all of the staff are very friendly and professional and courteous towards their guests. ||We were given room 207, that has two beds in the room, and our room was comfortable and cozy. Our room has a mini refrigerator, and coffee maker with complimentary coffee packs in the room, but there is no microwave in the room unless you tell them in advance that you want one in your room, and they do deliver the microwave to your room free of all charges, and so we did get one put in our room, and it looked like a brand new microwave and worked very well and was a nice size unit. Also the room has plenty of good electrical sockets. ||The room has an iron and board, and a personal safe to conveniently store your valuables, and two small closets with hangers. The air conditioner in the room worked very well. The room has a big table and a small attached table that are with a marble top, and is with one chair, that also has some small open cabinets in the bedroom, and a big screen TV that has lots of channels and streaming features. The dresser drawers are 3 small draws that are located in the small closet in the hallway area.||The bathroom had a lovely large marble top and a large lighted mirror, and plenty of countertop space to store personal toiletries. The shower is large with a large shower head, but no tub, and the water pressure was good with plenty of hot water. The towels were plentiful and clean and fluffy, and there are separate towels for the pool that you retrieve at the lobby desk.||The lobby is very very small, and has no lobby seating, but it has a very tiny mini mart, and there is also an ice machine on the ground floor. They have guest laundry on the property.||The hotel has a large outdoor pool, but it is actually not outside of the hotel's premises, it is off of the lobby in a courtyard type of design, where all the rooms also overlook the pool when you step outside of your room, and the pool area has lots of good seating with some chairs that have a cabana top, it is a well designed and nice looking clean pool area but we did not have the time to use it. ||There is No Fitness Room, and No Business Center, and No complimentary breakfast, but they give you complimentary coffee and tea in the lobby. There are a lot of restaurants near the hotel for food, as well as a very small grocery store a few doors down, and a gas station with a convenience store. The hotel has one elevator that works well, and there are only 3 floors to this small hotel. overall this was a very nice stay for us and we would return if in the area...
Read moreWe live right here in Lauderdale By The Sea (LBTS) for half the year, but when our condo building was upgrading its electrical room and the power was going to be out for a day, we knew exactly where we wanted to be. Sea Glass Beach Place is one of the newest and most beautiful places to stay in LBTS. And it's steps from the beach!! Everything is pristine... the lobby; the tranquil and private pool area; even the grounds and parking lot are immaculate. The room was definitely above our expectations (& they were high). We chose a King Suite and we're glad we did. It was so spacious it felt more like a condo or apartment than a hotel room. The decor is casual yet elegant, and so inviting. Everything is well thought out. The bed is unbelievably comfortable, and the pillows were perfection. Everything we needed for our stay was right at our fingertips. While there are plenty of great restaurants right at your doorstep, the ability to cook a meal (with everything you need provided) is nice. Finally, if you're lucky enough to stay at Sea Glass when Matrika is working, you've truly hit the jackpot. She was so helpful when I called to ask questions before booking, and she went above and beyond to help me decide on the best room for our stay. I strongly encourage you to book a room at Sea Glass Beach Place the next time you're in town. It does...
Read moreWe stayed here for 2 nights and very much enjoyed our stay here. It’s a very solidly built hotel that was recently totally transformed and renovated. No smoking really appreciated! The location is two blocks from the beach and a short walk from the hub of restaurants, bars, and various other ways to fill your tummies. Walgreens is conveniently just behind the hotel for all of your needs for snacks, sundries, first aid, personal care, souvenirs, beer/wine/liquor, etc. No need to overpack as everything is right there. I do wish there were beach supplies to rent/borrow such as umbrellas and light weight chairs from the hotel. Parking was paid separately but very safe and adequate. I hesitate to tell folks how nice this little place was because I don’t want it to get too pricey or disrespected and run down. I could have stayed for several days alone :-)|The pool area is great, framed in dwarf coconut trees and nicely furnished; it’s smaller but matches the hotel. I wouldn’t recommend the place for larger groups. Please if you go here leave the place like you found it. It was so nice. I also liked the cleanliness and freshness as it’s a NO SMOKING facility! I’d love to return and hopefully find the same quality as the first time. All of the staff...
