I recently stayed here with my husband for a 3 night stay over Veterans Day weekend. We booked through Expedia and got a terrific price. I was nervous on the way there about the check in process, as thereâs no lobby or check in and I hadnât received any communication, as other people said they had gotten texts. I had to call the # upon arrival but it was no big deal. I was promptly given my room # and door code. Parking is free and you get a designated spot. Donât underestimate how huge this is in S. Florida. No resort fee, free parking, it was exactly what we wanted. The villas are about 5 minute walk to the beach and lots of restaurants. Ten minutes to the most popular beaches and nightlife in Fort Lauderdale and 20 minutes to airport and greater Fort Lauderdale area. Itâs located on a quiet, semi-residential block. Itâs small, 10 units I think. We hardly saw anyone else and always had the pool to ourselves. The pool was my favorite part! The warm temperature is heavenly! That warm pool is probably the main reason I will return! I never enjoy hotel pools anywhere, always sooo cold! This one was so relaxing I hope they never change anything about it! Itâs very clean and nice lounge chairs around it with some pool toys. Thereâs laundry but we didnât use it. The rooms are a bit dated, but very clean and spacious. Be aware there is no regular daily maid service. We knew that and didnât care, as it was a short stay. Fully equipped kitchen was nice. Two flat screen TVs. Good WiFi. There is just one towel and one hand towel per guest. My suggestion would be to include a wash cloth and provide a bath mat. Water on floor from shower was unavoidable & a bath mat would be beneficial to guests as well as hotel. Wash cloth was sorely missed as I forgot to bring one or a loofah, and didnât feel like going to stores in FL to look for one. But again, not a huge deal. So I would definitely return here and would recommend to low-key travelers looking for convenience and to save money. Hopefully next time my room and door code will be texted or emailed to me...
Read moreWorst experience ever . I had booked this room thru Travelocity . Our stay was scheduled for Sept. 26th 2015 thru October 2nd 2015 . Upon checkin the room was clean and average . Within just 30 minutes we realized there was no working air conditioning . No internet and no cable . Which is all listed on their site . The property manager came into our room along with a niece and her boyfriend . they eventually got the cable working but it was loose and came off and on . They went outside and kicked the air unit and told us it was working now . My husband and i then decided while the room cooled off we would go get a few groceries to give it time to cool down . We were gone an hour and still no air .83 degrees in our room . Needless to say with no internet and no air we weren't staying here . We checked out of our room and called Travelocity and got our refund . We found another place to stay within just a few blocks and i realized i had left a sunglass hut bag in the room . Brand new Rayban Sunglasses and two cases for those and another pair which i had just purchased in Fort Lauderdale . It was seriously 20 minutes later when we went back to retrieve the bag . There was a guy in the room cleaning and the property manager said there was no bag in there . I know that it was there and feel totally stupid for leaving them there . Why can't people be honest . I called the property owner several times and noone has called me back on this matter . I am very disappoointed in this and will never recommend this place to anyone ever . I go to Lauderdale by the sea every year for vacation since my son lives in the area . Thank god we found a wonderful place to say closer to the boardwalk for right around the same money . Do not ever stay here if you want your...
Read moreThis was not a great experience. You should be very careful in booking this place because you will not get what is advertised. Upon arrival, the unit appears to be in fair condition, for the price. But upon closer inspection, we found an outlet cover broken off which allowed wires to be exposed (which is an issue for small children), the kitchen was not fully stocked as advertisedâit did not have even a basic frying pan. Upon looking for such frying pan, we found dried food particles in the oven that have been there for quite some time along with someone elseâs prescription bottle, which made us wonder if the unit had been cleaned. As we were sitting at the patio on a table that is held together by one leg, the Florida department of health worker showed up to test the poolâ and ultimately closed the pool due to unsafe swimming conditions and a lack of filter pump maintenance. Finally, on the third night, the air conditioner cycled on and off. When we called the property manager. There was no answer. We followed up with the owner, who said he couldnât find anyone to look at it at 7:30 at night and rudely suggested we switch the breaker. The owner and property manager, whom we spoken to multiple times about these issues, did absolutely nothing about any of these problems. And to our surprise, we found out someone was allowed to enter our unit, before our arrival, to use to the shower and bathroom and the manager told us that she couldnât believe that they turned the place upside down. The owner told us, she was paid to clean it afterwardsâ but we donât believe that happened. The owner was in Seattle and seemed to place the blame more on us or on the people before us then...
