Yesterday, my husband and I decided to grab Whoppers from Burger King. We specifically asked for our burgers to be cooked fresh, straight from the broiler. My husband made this clear to a male crew member inside the restaurant. Unfortunately, what unfolded next was beyond disappointing and entirely unprofessional.
While my husband was waiting, he noticed the manager heating up the burgers in the microwave. He approached her, reiterating his request for fresh burgers. To our astonishment, the crew member who took the order did not communicate this request to the manager. Instead of addressing the oversight professionally, the manager became upset and argumentative with my husband.
She claimed that they were too busy to cook the burgers fresh and resorted to the microwave instead. At this point, a verbal altercation ensued. Rather than de-escalating the situation, the manager berated my husband and even threatened to call the sheriff on him. My husband, calm and collected, told her he would wait, but she never followed through on her threat.
This level of unprofessionalism from a manager, who should be setting an example for her team, is unacceptable. The crew members stood by and watched without intervening, indicating a significant lapse in leadership and customer service standards.
We would have been willing to wait the necessary 15 minutes for fresh burgers, especially since the restaurant was not particularly busy. There were only two cars in the drive-thru and four cars in the parking lot, including ours. How does this constitute being busy?
In summary, this experience was far from what we expected from Burger King. The unprofessional behavior of the manager and the lack of proper customer service are reasons enough to avoid this location at all costs. Save yourself the frustration and go somewhere else where customers are valued and treated...
Read moreI received an e-coupon from Burger King that expired in 15 minutes. I walked into this Burger King with more than 12 minutes on the timer. There were 4 people ahead of me in line. The cashier would only wait on one person and then stand by the food station to fill bags. She wouldn’t take any orders until an order was filled. It was extremely slow for orders to be taken. At 7 minutes on the timer I asked the cashier if she could take our orders because my coupon was timing out. She said just remember your coupon number and I’ll take care of you. The coupon did time out, so it was longer than 12 minutes to just take my order with only 4 people ahead of me. The cashier did honor my coupon and explained that she could only have one or two people waiting for their orders. If this is a strategy to not be called a “fast food restaurant,” then I would say I won’t be back. Why is Chick-fil-A and McDonalds so much more customer friendly in the application of their policies? If this is a Covid protection policy, then surely there has to be a better way to address it. Why make people wait so long in lines. I am told by an employee that Shelli Crowell, General Manager at this Burger King has implemented this policy.I think there has to be a better way to manage through this and in a way that doesn’t antagonize...
Read moreZero-star if I would do! Took kids for a take out tonight at this BK location. One staff member was SO rude at the end.
After 10+ min waiting in the take out lane, they asked me to pull over to the parking lot and they will deliver the food I ordered when it is done. Apparently, someone messed up my order. They serviced 5+ cars after me and I was waiting outside the door when the staff member delivered the food to me. I was asking her politely and calmly, "What's wrong with my order?". An answer from her "they are making your order" and she rolled her eyes on me and walked away! I was extremely mad and started entering in and asking for talking to the manager. The manager shouted back at me when I was raising my voice. I NEED an explanation!
Would a simple apology be that difficult after the 20+ minutes wait of one order? Just say "Here is your order; sorry for the long wait..." I will just leave them alone. I will NEVER go back to Berger King locations again. They don't know how to treat a customer. Everything is about respect. Buyers are aware!!! Zero-star to them and they lost a...
