Tuesday Sept 3, I dropped off my car for a scheduled 8 am appt. Even though I told them my issue was a park aid sensor (because only thing it didn't do was ding when I backed up close to something), they had to "verify" and proceeded to diagnose the issue. I could have been fine if to diagnose the issue it was for the agreed upon price but she called that afternoon to say that they still hasn't checked the back but to do so it would cost more because it would take a few more hours. I'm like it's already there, go ahead. Then about an hour or so later she called to say it was a back sensor (surprise, surprise). They had to order the part. It should be there within two days at most. I was still good because I didn't go back to work till Thursday night. So go ahead.
Starting Thursday, I've called every day. They didn't call me to keep me updated. Thursday, the parts still not here. Friday they didn't get to it. I was told that they'd work on it Saturday even though that day is usually just oil changes and the like. They didn't. And today, Monday, they still didn't have it ready.
I was going to just come pay my bill and pick up my vehicle but service lady said that it's taken apart (I take that to mean the bumper is off or something).
When I complained about the time this was taking and the inconvenience (because after Thursday I had to start looking for rides to and from work), the service lady offered me a loaner (that just came in), but it's not much of an offer at 4:07 pm when I would have to do it by 4:30 to get the paperwork done before they closed. I had to wake up by an alarm to call them before they closed and I live 25 minutes away. Plus I need the car, as we go on vacation this coming up Saturday. It's the main reason I scheduled this two weeks out, where I would have this vehicle for vacation. And it's not like I can take this loaner on a cross country trip.
On Tuesday, September 10th, I called at 8:15am and told them that if my car wasn't fixed that day to please have it reassembled where I could balance my bill and take my car home after 4pm. They called me at 11:45 to let me know my car was complete and ready for pickup. $748 dollars later and all I got was a sensor, oil change and tire rotation (and they forgot to change the little sticker letting me know when to change it again)
So in conclusion, I was getting a sensor, oil change and tire rotation - it took 8 days (7 service days) and just under $750. I got price gouged for the diagnosis on the sensor and my job was not handled in a timely manner. Communicattion was not handled appropriately. If my review could have been no stars or a half star then that's what I would...
Read moreVery disappointing. I contacted this dealer thru CarGurus.com because I was interested in a certain vehicle. When the receptionist called to talk about the car she asked what I was looking to spend and what kind of car I was interested in. I made it very plain that the vehicle I was interested in was the one listed above and I believed the price was fair. I was then contacted by a salesman regarding the car and set up a time to look at it. I spent the next day sending emails back and forth about financing and such so that if I did like the car I could go ahead and purchase it without delay. When I arrived at the dealership later that day I was met by the salesman at the door who then led me into the office instead of the lot. Strange really. He then explained to me that the car I was interested in had sold the day before but that he had me approved on another vehicle. Seriously? You took it upon yourself to run my credit on a completely different vehicle without telling me?!?! A car I had absolutely zero interest in! A car that was $7000 dollars more than what I was looking for. I drove 50 miles one way to look at a car that was gone. A simple call, text or email would have been enough for me to tell them that I was not remotely interested in this car and definitely not interested in paying an additional 7 grand on one! He then states that he had been "spinning his wheels" working on this deal. That was not my fault they should have been honest from the start. I kept my temper in check and explained to this salesman that I had no interest in this car at all, refused to look at the car. Why would I? 15 minutes after leaving the dealership this salesman seemed to think that I was only joking about not wanting to even see the car so he sends me photos of the car. Will not be going back for...
Read moreWonderful experience with the folks at Autonation Ft. Payne. Drove 111 miles one way to do business with these folks and do not regret it at all! Came home with our new vehicle feeling like it was time well spent and even enjoyed! Thanks Richard Reed and Brody and all of the folks at Ft. Payne autonation.**Unfortunately, I have to make an edit to my original post. 4 trips back and forth to Ft. Payne to try to resolve issues that should have been resolved before the vehicle was sold to us. I replaced the battery the fist week of ownership, that was okay, I didn't balk that. Next week find our CD player does not work on radio. Come back in and let them change out radio with another on lot. Meantime, brakes are making a noise. Appointment made and drive the 111 miles on Saturday morning to have problem fixed. Get there to find out that car they were to switch radios with had been sold and no one had notified the service dept so we were not notified. Had to struggle to get brakes fixed even though they had noted on pre-sale inspection that there was a problem. Fixed brakes and had to get back to us on radio. Again, the next week discovered that no heat on right hand side of car including defroster. Finally, after fussing that I should not have to pay a diagnosis fee, on final trip radio and heat was fixed. Service department was good but could only do as sales allowed. Sales department left us with the impression that they wanted to wash their hands of the problems we inherited and had to be pushed. Would not...
