Selection is good and Iāve never had issues with employees until my recent selling experience. I brought in three bins full of clothesāand I get it, consignment stores are pretty overrun right now so I wasnāt expecting a ton of items to be taken. However, when I brought my bins home (after receiving $12 for a few items out of three bins), I found that at least one bin was not gone through, still folded exactly how I folded it when I prepared my bins. Not only that, but when I came in to retrieve my bins and cash in, my sister and I decided to browse really quick. It was over 30 minutes before closing time, and my sister and I had been working all day and wanted to see if there was anything we liked. We did not try anything on and were very conscious of their closing time, since both of us have been in the retail industry and know that it can be frustrating when someone wants to shop last minute. After I cashed in, my sister decided to purchase a couple of itemsāagain, no mess was made, no clothes were tried on, and we moved quickly so we could let them continue their closing duties 30 minutes before closing time. The curly-haired girl at the counter had not only ignored us when we came in, she nonchalantly breezed through the transaction and my sister had to ask if she could put her phone number in to redeem rewards points, to which the girl didnāt reply as if she forgot or accidentally skipped over it, she just went back in the transaction like we were putting her out. After my sisterās transaction was done, the girl quickly wished us a good night. I had to ask her if I could have my bins back, to which she just slowly replied āyeahā and placed them on the counter for me to take. I hope management takes into consideration the attitude of those they are hiring. I get that retail jobs can be tedious, or you might be having a bad day, but thatās not my problem. Donāt treat customers like weāre inconveniencing you and PLEASE, have some integrity and actually go through all of the bins that customers give you. To other potential customers reading: Go to the North Tarrant location if youāre looking to sellāall employees there had a much kinder demeanor and they actually looked through everything I brought to them. But I was so disappointed this last time . I sell also to Platoās which is next door . I was done with Platoās so I had my huge ikea bag when I walked in to clothes mentor to wait because I had not received the text that they were finished . I just walked around to see if I could find anything I like . I have retail experience of 7 plus years in management. And I know what to do or not when you think someone is stealing . I felt so extremely uncomfortable I wanted to cry. I was wearing a hat with braids . One particular worker went over to where I was and āstarted working around me ā . She didnāt ask if I needed help how I was doing or nothing . But I did hear her say it to another lady before approaching where I was . I moved around to see if it was just in my head but she went over to where I was again she finally stopped when I sat down on their couch . I donāt what she was thinking if she felt proud she potentially stopped a criminal . No you stopped someone from shopping freely . You accomplished to make me feel so uncomfortable I had no more energy to shop . I donāt know if she forgot I was waiting because I was selling . Horrible experience . I expect great customer service . When you give great customer service customers will keep coming back and they become loyal . A normal person would have not picked up on this kind of behavior . I wonāt give anymore stars, because I have not had a good experience with the staff. They are rude and do not do their job. My sister and I came into the store two days ago on Monday, 30-45 minutes before closing just to take a quick browse and pick up some clothes I had dropped off. First of all, I was not greeted at the door and given dirty looks by the staff for, I can only assume, coming into the store before closing (not 10 minutes, almost an hour before closing). I was trying to do a quick browse of some shoes and to pick up some clothes I had dropped off. It was evident that they had not gone through ANY of the clothes I had brought, because they were folded exactly as we left them. There were many name brand items, so honestly, itās their loss. Regardless, I donāt care how many clothes they took or the amount of money offered, it was the fact that they were too lazy to do their jobs and at least look through them.
I am a regular at the Clothes Mentor, so I value the points I receive. When I was going to check out, the girl did not even ask for my number to put in so I could redeem my $10 reward. I had to ask her to cancel the transaction and put my number in. THEN as Iām leaving, she doesnāt even offer to give back ALL of the clothes they chose not to take.
The moral of this review is that Iām frustrated because like this store, but no longer want to even come because of the treatment by the employees not wanting to do the job they...
