The worst experience I've ever had with a Best Buy department. I bought a washer/dryer about three weeks ago from this Best Buy in Fort Worth, and I had it scheduled to be delivered on a Saturday afternoon. When Geek Squad showed up, they unloaded the appliances in my dining room but the man said they did not have an order to stack the washer/dryer. I told him I know I scheduled to have them stacked. He then changed his story, saying my stacking kit was the wrong size. I figured he knew his stuff, so I let them go, they left the washer/dryer unpackaged in my dining room, and I took it to the Best Buy to get the right one. Turns out, it was the right size (correct serial number and everything), and he did have an order to stack them. The Best Buy workers had no idea why he would not do the job. We then rescheduled the installation to be for the following Saturday morning (one week away). I was annoyed but at least it was only a week. The next Saturday, I woke up early, since the window for installation was 7am-1pm, and waited for 6 hours. I even called them around 8:30am to make sure someone would be coming to install my stuff. No one showed up. I was furious. I called several people on the Best Buy/Geek squad end, wondering what had happened, and eventually talked to a nice lady (Jan or Janet) who empathized with me and said someone had gone in and marked the order as complete, even though it wasn't. We had a new appointment set for the following Thursday afternoon (12:30-4:30, according to my confirmation email). Jan put it under a new order number so this would not happen again. I am a medical student, so I have classes on weekday mornings, which is why I scheduled it for the afternoon. When that Thursday came, I was in class around 10am when I got a call saying they are on the way. I had to rush home, skip the rest of class AND the following class, and let the Geek Squad in my apartment. Luckily, they actually showed up (different guys from the first day) and finally my appliances were installed. These guys were very nice and understanding. I just wish I could have avoided all this headache in the first place. I will never order appliances from a Best Buy/Geek...
Read moreI drove half an hour to get an iphone battery replaced. The first person I dealt with told me that since I did not fail their diagnostic they would not let me replace the battery. (I was willing to pay out of pocket and not wanting one for free via warranty.) I asked for a manager because it did not mention a diagnostic when I made the appointment. The manger then says yes I can get it replaced but they dont have the battery so they will have to order it. I asked how long that would take and they said that they were not sure but they would have to hold my phone in the store while they order the battery. I asked if they could just call me when it arrives and not hold my phone because I need it for work and they said no. Thanks for nothing geek squad... Go straight to the apple store, I know its a bit harder to get an appointment there but they will do...
Read moreMy appointment for an installation was cancelled due to the snowstorm, and I was given a phone number by text to call for re-scheduling. I have called this phone number approximately 10 times daily - no one ever answers, and there is no option to leave a voicemail. If you try to call the main store phone number, they tell you to call the Geek Squad phone number, which no one answers. If you try to call Geek Squad corporate, they tell you to call the store. Meanwhile, they completely refunded my order and returned all of the parts which had been ordered for the installation. So now, I can't even reschedule because none of the parts are there (which we need for the installation). I received ZERO phone calls or e-mails about rescheduling, ZERO phone calls or e-mails about the order being cancelled. Absolutely...
