I first met ALDI in 2003 when I lived in Germany. It made sense with their culture; while we Americans were looking for frozen "meals" to microwave between classes, the German students knew how to cook. They bought ingredients. My wife fell in love with ALDI too because of the low prices. We've been going to ALDI in whatever town we live in or visit for 20 years now. So there's the reliability. The reason I took off the star is because the produce keeps getting worse, and I never know if they're gonna have organic half and half this week. I use it to make yogurt because the regular half and half is so loaded with antibiotics the bacteria cannot grow. Final note: if you have ADHD and there's a good chance that's why you've read this far, ALDI is the best. You don't get stuck trying to compare an entire matrix of granola bars, or mathing for 5 minutes trying to convert ounces per dollar to cents per serving divided by servings per pound which is abbreviated lb for some reason. ALDI has one of each type of thing, so it pretty well matches your shopping list and you move through the store quickly. And we're American; that's our top...
Read moreI have been an Aldi shopper for over 25 years. Before moving to Texas from KY, Aldi was my main source for grocery shopping. When I found out Aldi was coming to DFW, I was thrilled. Aldi produce is always fresh but affordable. The money I save shopping at Aldi is huge. This was my first visit to this location, and it was fantastic. It is definitely a newer, more modern look compared to other locations. If you've never shopped at Aldi, you're missing out and overspending. They keep the prices low by shoppers bringing their own bags, and you bag your own groceries. The carts require a quarter to unlock, but you get it back when you return the cart. Its another way they pass on the savings by not needing to hire someone to collect abandoned carts. And... you MUST try their "Red bag Chicken". It's the best chicken ever (it even has a fan club lol) So give your wallet a break on your next shopping day...
Read moreSo disappointed 😞 I the check out. Person and the wait. People holding arm loads elderly people, just ridiculous. I don't care how much "cheaper" shopping is here. When ask about another cashier the cashier replied, "She's just to busy. It'll be fine. I'm moving pretty quick. " she says as there are two people in front of us and five or six people with buggies behind us. RIDICULOUS. Customers come first !!! Always ! Nothing like being punished for needing to save so money. I already know what you are going to say, this keeps now we keep cost down. Not happy with y'all at all. Next time I'm going to post...
