I MISS PAYLESS LUMBER, WHY !!!! People Keep Supporting BIG BUSINESS!!! Went to Home Depot to pickup Doors, Light Fixtures, and Electrical Supply. To start off went into the Lighting Dept. found 2 fixtures that I needed on shelf, the others were on the very top of the pallet rack. Walked around the store for 20 minutes looking for an associate to help, No One around !! So Used there Step Ladder Platform and Helped myself, Still in the Lighting Dept. I needed 8' Florescent Shop Lights 12 to be exact. Keep in mind I went on HD Web site to make sure they were in stock before my trip to the store and it showed 14 in-stock . NOT!!!!! Had to go thru 3 shelves on light fixtures because they were all mixed to find only 9 of what i wanted so it took the extra Light in a more expensive units to make the 10 minimum contractor pack. Then went to the Doors to pick the ones i needed, When i arrived I notice another customer standing there with a blank look on his face like he had been waiting for quite some time, Hoping i was there to help him! Nope I'm in the same boat now! NO HELP So go get a cart and start loading the 4 doors I need , And when I get done a women with the orange apron in her early 60's shows up and ask did I find what I needed!!! NS. So I have two of the platform dolly's to lug to the check out. As I walk to check out I notice 10-12 employees standing around talking to there friends!! It must be bring your friend to work day!!!. When I get to the check out to find another 60's year old working the counter, keep in mind I have to wait another 20 minutes because theirs 1 customer in front of me and they must be best friends because there talking about there life story. So my turn finally !!! I ask her sine they were short the 10 lights to get contractor bulk pricing but I buying more than 10 but different skew would they honor it ? She said she can't do anything about pricing and if I wanted to wait and come back when they were in stock to get the contractor pricing. KEEP IN MIND I HAVE BEEN IN THIS STORE FOR OVER A HOUR WITH NO ONE TO HELP ME WITH MY PURCHASE!!! I HAVE SPENT 10'S OF THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS WITH THIS COMPANY OVER THE YEARS!!! Would you think they could get you some HELP!! NOPE!! I Own a Retail Business and my Customer's will not accept this from me or my store. BUT FOR SOME CRAZY REASON HD AND THE BIG BOX CAN DO THIS DAY IN AND DAY OUT AND PEOPLE FLOCK TO THEM !!! I ask the cashier for help loading my truck and she said she would call a lot loader to help. My aunt goes into this Home Depot every other day, spends a lot of money with y’all, has a credit card paid monthly with y’all, doesn’t ask for anything but general respect. And today she didn’t get that. She is not one to make waves, that’s me. I am appalled at how she was treated today by cashier cassandra/kassandra. My aunt went it today, got what she needed, checked out, the cashier Cassandra/kassandra checked her out, gave her receipt and told her to have a good day. All my aunt said to her was “will you bag these up for me?” And Kassandra said “no I’m not gonna do that, the way you asked was rude.”

UMMMM EXCUSE ME LITTLE GIRL? Isn’t that what they pay you for? Are you so soft from social media like tik tok you can’t even lift a finger to do your job?

My aunt was taken aback, understandably, and asked her again. This little girl had the other cashier bag my aunts items for her. What a spoiled little brat you are Kassandra.. anyway, my aunt came home and told me what happened so I called to file a complaint, and the “manager” Tim answered and didn’t let me get two words in. Called me “you people” and all this other garbage I guess not knowing I recorded the whole call. Listen tim, I know you may have a crush on Cassandra and you’re trying to impress her or whatever but asking your employees to do their job, and reprimanding associated for not doing so is a part of YOUR JOB AS A MANAGER. Seems like you need some training as well.

My aunt is never the one to make waves, cause trouble, get anyone in trouble, or make anyone feel bad.. but when you send my aunt home and she’s hurt? That’s where I’m stepping in. I will not allow y’all to get away with treating your loyal customers like this, and believe me when I say I will be taking every avenue to do so.

Pointed this out and still they would not honor a price match guarantee. Obviously it was just way cheaper and easier to order it online which we did.

We still needed a refrigerator and the price at home depot was identical to the price at Lowe's. While we were there, we started the order process on the fridge. The first issue is the price on the fridge display in store was not showing up in the ordering system. The associate asked if I just wanted to order the fridge online because their system was not showing the correct price. I told them no I'd wanted the price on the in store display. After about 30 minutes they managed to get the correct price displayed and then told me they did not do veterans discounts on appliances any more....15 minutes before that she said she could give me the veterans discount and had it applied to the incorrect price. At this point I said no that's OK, Lowes has the same fridge at the same price and they do a Veterans Discount, so we drove 5 minutes down the road to Lowes and got the same refrigerator with the veterans discount.
