Update edit: I'm changing my review from 5 stars to 1, and honestly, I'll not be returning to their establishment again. (Note: this edit includes personal information so there is understanding for why certain things were asked for on my part) The owner, who I love, has stepped away from this place almost since I left this original review a couple years ago, and since then it's not been so good. However, this week was the final straw. I waited a few days before deciding to amend my review to make sure it was the right thing to do and not just an emotional knee jerk response. Back info on myself: I have bad social anxiety. Add to that, I was in a highly abusive relationship for a number of years, and it affected my interactions with men to a degree. During that time, I was not allowed to have guys do my nails or pedicures. After escaping that relationship, I kept that preference for two reasons: having a man I don't know touch me makes me uncomfortable now, and, I've noticed for pedicures the male techs tend to rush through them, and often hurt me. For manicures/nails I'm somewhat ok with male techs these days, and do allow that depending on how I'm doing that day, tbh. I have never been mean or rude about this request, simply asking for a female tech. The guy in charge I've "known" since I started going to the salon back in 2013 at their old location. I have never cared for him much, especially after a particular incident, but I've certainly never been rude, I would be mortified.
I've been working on myself, and I was attempting to be more social when he mentioned he had kids. The lady he was doing service on was surprised, and I echoed the surprise. I knew he had nieces & nephews, but not kids (I listen and know a lot even if I don't know info directly from personal conversation). He literally looked at me and said, "I know everything you like, but I don't talk to you because you scary, look like serial killer." Umm...what? Thank goodness Amber was ready for me to do lashes, so I could go disappear into a private room & essentially hide. I got my pedicure after, and it was fantastic, especially since she didn't push talking to me, I think she picked up on the fact that I didn't want to. Pedicure was perfect, my full acrylic set I got done first though? Awful. They're crooked, the polish tips are wonky, one of my nails literally has my natural nail having a whole strip exposed down the side, multiple nails have burs on them, and they weren't even filed straight, despite me asking a couple times for her to fix fingers. I finally gave up. She was super nice, but really bad work.
Amber though, she was awesome, did my lashes, and is fantastic. I'm sad that I won't be going back to her for my fills.
But, between the full set being a wreck, having the whole salon told I look like a serial killer and that is why I'm not talked to, and the experiences I've had over the last year, I am looking for a new salon. Thanks for confirming all social fears I have. I will not be back, nor recommending this salon to others any longer.
So if judgement & insults are your cup of tea, this place is for you. If not, just don't even go. They are the best around. The owner is hands on & so awesome. Atmosphere is great, I highly recommend them to anyone. I followed them from their original location in...
Read moreUpdated Review (8/3/25): I went back and was overcharged for a full set. $97 to be exact. In addition to my full set, they decided to charge me for a âmanicureâ that I did not ask for. I simply asked the guy to âclean up my cuticlesâ which he didnât even do! Since they charged me for a manicure I should have received hot towels, cuticle remover, massage, etc. that comes with a manicure but all I got was a couple cuticles clipped away. I absolutely did not get a manicure! Instead, all I got was an uneven set with lumpy acrylic all over. He couldnât even give me the design that I asked for (a bow). I had to ask him to remove it because it was so terrible. He was rushing me and kept pushing my hand away and had a nasty attitude the entire time. This was after me waiting 30 minutes too. I did not see them sanitizing the utensils, it appears they are simply reusing with each customer from what I observed. Also, last weekend I came here for a pedicure and I was going to let it go without saying anything, but after todayâs visit I know that it wasnât just a âone off type of thingâ. It was the worst, overpriced pedicure I ever received. No lotion, the water was cold, no massage, no wax, no CLEANING under my toes, no callus remover âŠnothing. For the Deluxe $65 pedicure?? Itâs obvious that they do not care about quality whatsoever and it shows in their work. Due to my experience today and last weekend with the pedicure issue, I will never come back here. I have never experienced anything like this at a salon where theyâve charged me for services I did not receive and I did not receive the services I paid for. I deserve a refund for services I did not receive today and the owner should apologize for allowing this to happen.
Previous review: Excellent service and my full set turned out great! Glad I...
Read moreI just recently relocated to the DFW area from Houston. I typically only go to 1 nail tech who does all of my services. I get a gel pedicure with acrylic on the big toes, a full acrylic set usually with some type of design, eyebrows and lip wax. I normally spend about $180-$200 when I get serviced at my normal salon back home in Houston. Today I gave in and tried this nail bar here in Fort Worth and I REGRET cheating on my nail tech. I was charged $55 for a pedicure an extra $30 for the gel and new acrylic on the big toes. First off he only put a new nail on one big toe and refilled the old toe nail on the other foot instead of removing it and putting on a fresh nail. He put about 6-7 layers of polish on which made them look thick. As for my hands; she tried to charge me $80 for what she claims to be considered âlongâ. She was very rough with my hands twisting and turning them in uncomfortable positions instead of just directing me in the ways she wanted . I CONSTANTLY had to keep asking her to fix my shape and she still couldnât manage to get it right. And the MAIN ISSUE she literally cut me 4-5 different times. She didnât show any remorse, didnât apologize she continue to rush and carelessly use the drill on my already pained fingers. I am a BARTENDER I work with alcohol so thanks to her and her poor service, my fingers are going to be on FIRE for the next few days. I was supposed to get some simple line designs they tried to charge me an additional $20 for that. And then when I voiced my grievances to the manager she just said okay and walked off . I will NEVER come back here I shouldâve just waited one more week until I returned to houston like I said I would. Will leave PICTURES below . The nail techs name was Ann BEWARE she...
