This was our first time shopping at this liquor store, and unfortunately, it will also be our last.
First, during checkout, my six-year-old kid was just playing and lightly touching items near the counter when the cashier suddenly yelled at her twice, saying ādo not touch anything.ā This was rude and completely inappropriate, especially toward a child. She could have explained kindly instead of raising her voice. Families shop here too, so I would expect more professionalism and courtesy at checkout.
Second, I noticed a major issue with pricing. After we left the store, I realized the total on our receipt didnāt match what was shown on the shelf. A drink that was tagged $14.99 actually rang up at $25. I went back inside and asked a worker about it, and he said the tags were āin the wrong spotā and blamed the vendor. When I asked him if customers realize they are paying more at checkout he said a ālot of customers donāt realize they are paying more and donāt come back to return their drinksā which to me sounds like this is wrong and dishonest. lm pretty sure vendors just stock the shelves, and itās the storeās responsibility to make sure prices are correct. When I pointed out the issue, he didnāt offer to fix it or make it right in any way. Looking at the shelf, I saw multiple mismatched tags, which is misleading and unfair to customers.
Between the rude treatment at checkout and the inaccurate shelf pricing with no effort to correct it, this store left a very bad impression. Itās frustrating because we want to support local businesses, but experiences like this are exactly why people end up spending their money at big...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWriting this based on my experience today only in the last 1+ year of being a loyal customer at this location. Iām so beyond disappointed with my treatment of one of the employees after I accidentally dropped a bottle of Titoās vodka. The floor was wet as it was raining outside and I slipped for half a second and lost grip of the bottle and immediately the employee comes over and sighs and tells me I have to pay full price for the bottle. I want to mention there is no signs up saying you break it you buy it, and not just that, but there was literally someone mopping the rain off the ground as all this happened so some kind of compassion or reduction of price wouldāve gone such a long way. But truly the reason why Iām writing this is because I didnāt argue with the employee, I didnāt go back and forth with him, but I hear him mumble something under his breath when I turned away. Canāt say 10000% for sure, but it sounded like he called me crazy. I understand that the incident is so inconvenient and a loss for the store, but if Iām going to be charged anyway, I didnāt need the extra poor attitude. The checkout employees were also confused at checkout to double charge me but I let them know what the other guy had said. This was my only location I went too, part of their rewards and genuinely will not be...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAn Asian woman, her behavior suggested a need for more thorough training in professionalism and customer interactions. Itās concerning that someone in a customer service role lacks the foundational skills necessary to effectively serve customers.
A title or position should not dictate oneās ability to connect with and support others; it is essential to have a positive attitude and genuine care for people. Without these qualities, the long-term success of any business is at risk. I hope that management addresses this issue to improve the overall customer experience.
I recommend focusing on improving your attitude and making a genuine effort to serve customers with kindness and respect. If you find this challenging, it might be worth considering whether this position aligns with your strengths. Embracing a mindset of learning and growth is essential in any service-oriented role, and it can lead to greater success both personally and professionally. By prioritizing customer service, you can enhance the overall experience for your clients and foster a more positive environment....
