The visit to the Sonic was one that I will remember for quite some time. Upon arriving there were a couple of cars in the Drive-Thru. The line was moving very slowly and when I got to the order menu I wasn't greeted with a welcoming tone. I quickly ordered a triple smasher with no cheese and a medium onion ring. Was not given a total and was told to proceed to the window.
After serving a few customers and getting to the window, I was greeted with a total and not much else. I gave the employee my money and sat for 7 and 1/2 minutes waiting for my order.
I decided to eat at the restaurant. I pulled over into one of the stalls and noticed there was no trash in any stall and the grounds appeared to be kept very well. The menus look a little dated, but I suppose that it adds to the charm of the aesthetic that Sonic Drive-In is trying to achieve.
I then began to examine my meal. I immediately felt the heat coming from the onion rings which was refreshing considering I waited so long. I was highly disappointed by the temperature of my burger, when I reached for it in mythe bag. It was still wrapped and I could feel that it was cold. I had waited for 7 and 1/2 minutes for half a hot meal.
When I opened the packaging for the burger I noticed immediately that it looked dry and was not very well appointed. Your burgers themselves don't look so much as if they were smashed but flattened very thinly and then added onto the bun. One on top of the other. There was very little sauce on the burger. There were more onions than sauce, actually. I found the taste of the burger to be lackluster and not very good. The onion rings tasted a little too sweet for me. I wasn't a big fan of the fair I received.
Overall, I doubt I won't go back to any Sonic location. I've had Sonic before and this visit was to reevaluate my experiences with their chain. Equally, across all Sonic's that I have been to, the food has been pretty bad. I suppose it's more an atmosphere that you're paying for instead of the actual meal. I must admit the atmosphere is not that welcoming to begin with. I'm being generous with the two stars because I didn't very much feel that vibe that Sonic is supposed to give off and the food, well, enough...
Read moreI wish I could give zero stars but I can't. I live very close to this location so this is the location I choose to go to, but I will NEVER be back. I used to order just a large drink a few times a week using the mobile app (cheaper). When I would get to the store, I would check in on my phone and put what stall # I was parked in. On the screen it says if your order is in the kitchen, etc and when it's on the way out. 3 different times at this location (within a weeks time) it told me my order was on the way out and I waited about 10-15 minutes and no one ever came so I had to push the button and ask where my drink was. Why is this? Are they just hoping you drive off and they take your money or what? I told myself I wouldn't ever order there again after that happened multiple times, but about a week ago, my family and I was craving ice cream so I went on the app and ordered 2 Sonic Blasts and 1 vanilla shake for my son. We pulled in the now changed mobile pick up spots and waited for over 15 minutes before an employee walked out and asked us what we were waiting on; told the employee and he said he'd be right back out. Waited about 5 more minutes, another employee came out and asked us the same question; he told us he'd be right back. Finally, after 25+ minutes someone came out with 3 extremely watery melted ice creams... it had to have been sitting there since I placed the order 25-30 minutes earlier! We were livid! We told them we were not going to accept them and just to refund our money. They told us they could not do that and I would have to call the customer service number. I did that, gave the lady all the information she requested and that was a little over a week ago and I still to this day have never received a refund. I will never ever go back to that Sonic...
Read moreTo the managers of this restaurant, y'all need to hire more employees! The TWO PEOPLE that you had covering the evening rush, BY THEMSELVES, on Monday, April 21, 2025, were not NEARLY enough to cover that shift! The drive through lane had cars around the restaurant! The call ahead and walk up orders were, of course, pulling up too! They were completely swamped!
My call ahead order was supposed to be ready by 4:08 pm, by 4:21 pm I was calling to find out what the problem was? That's when I found out what was going on. I felt really bad for those two employees, who, bless their hearts, were trying their very best to "hold down the fort" all by themselves, and the young lady who I spoke with on the was so apologetic!
These two employees need an apology and a good, decent raise from thir employer. They stayed there and kept the food coming, the drive through lane was moving at a surprisingly good pace and within 2 or 3 minutes of me calling to ask where my order was, it was brought right out (though I told the young lady I spoke to, that there wss no rush, I completely understood the reason for the delay!)
It's downright appallingly what these two employees had ro go through, and I suspect it wasn't the first time the were put in this position. I've come to expect abysmal service from all Sonics I visit, no matter where they might be, but this was next level! The management really needs to be ashamed of how they treat their employees - if I had been so taken advantage of, I'd've walked out! But these TWO employees stuck it out and did their jobs exceptionally well. They need to compensated for their loyalty. Do...
