Review for Bird Dog BBQ (addressed to management and the general public):
As a professional delivery driver for platforms such as Uber Eats, DoorDash, and Grubhub, I have visited Bird Dog BBQ on numerous occasions to pick up orders on behalf of customers who rely on these services. Unfortunately, every visit has been marked by negative experiences not due to an isolated incident, but because of an operational policy that is consistently detrimental to delivery drivers.
Today, at approximately 1:00 p.m., I was assigned to pick up an order from this establishment. As expected during lunchtime, there was a considerable line of customers waiting to order and dine in. After identifying myself as a delivery driver and inquiring about the order, I was told it would take a few minutes. However, I observed that as more customers arrived, all were promptly attended to, while the delivery order remained unaddressed.
After waiting for a while inside, I decided to return to my vehicle and wait another 15 minutes. Upon re-entering the restaurant once the line had cleared I was informed that the order was just then being started. In total, I waited over 30 minutes for an order that should have already been prepared or prioritized, especially considering I arrived before many of the dine-in customers.
This scenario is not unique to today. It reflects a recurring practice at Bird Dog BBQ: delivery orders are systematically delayed until all dine-in customers have been served, regardless of the driver’s arrival time or the urgency of the order. This practice stands in stark contrast to the service protocols observed at most restaurants, where orders are handled based on arrival time, and where it is understood that delivery drivers represent customers with the same rights and expectations as anyone else.
In addition to the economic loss this causes (due to wasted time and potential impact on delivery ratings), I was also subjected to disrespectful behavior from the staff today including laughter and mockery as if the expectation of being treated fairly were somehow unreasonable.
To the management of Bird Dog BBQ: customers who order via delivery also deserve respect. Failing to acknowledge this not only harms your restaurant’s reputation but also discourages drivers from accepting future orders, directly affecting the quality and timeliness of service for your off-site customers.
Based solely on today’s experience and those prior my rating is one star. Not for the food, which I’ve never tasted, but for the consistently poor and disrespectful treatment of delivery...
Read moreI was really excited to order from this place as the reviews were great. I called the number listed on google and it was out of service. I had to hunt down the number and when I finally got it, I was told they had a new owner. I ordered the family pack which fed 4-8 people and the price listed on their menu was 48$ for 2 lbs of meat and 3 large sides with Texas toast. I ordered an extra lb of meat which I chose the brisket and my other meat choice was the half chicken x3. When I asked for my total? 92$! I said hang on the website states 48$ and I was told yeah those prices are old because of the new owner. Ok fine. I don’t mind paying extra for good food. I get my order home and was severely underwhelmed. Texas toast? That was a stretch. The toast was just barely warmed bread. My sides were Mac n cheese, 2 baked potatoes, and baked beans. The large sides? They were sufficient in quantity. The beans were actually quite nice. Mac n cheese was ok. The baked potatoes were plain when I ordered them with butter and sour cream. It was 30$ for 1 pound of brisket so I ordered half instead. 15$ and unseasoned. Soft yes, but unflavored. In addition, the house barbecue sauce was too sweet. Way too sweet. Total price was 92$ and with a military discount I ended up spending 80$ and it was a huge disappointment. On top of all this, no napkins were provided. No cutlery. The money that I spent on what should have been a great Friday night dinner for my family was a waste and would have been better spent on common fast food like Burger King. We would have at least been satiated. Not sure how things were under the last owner but based on the previous reviews? This one flopped. Spend your money...
Read moreI ordered bird dog on grub hub and i completely was missing a whole entire chicken strip meal. I called grub hub and they told me to contact the store . I contacted the store several times, their mailbox was completely full so when I continued to call the store they continued to send me to voicemail that was not set up. I understand mistakes happen, but avoiding your phone calls is disappointing. 1: you’re a business , get your voicemail set up 2: Dont ask me “what can I do as a business “ from bird dog when we’ve already said “hey we’re missing a whole entire item” 3: maybe do some training on customer or management training to help your managers better assist the customers when a situation happens so the manager doesn’t ask the customer what to do. 4: If you can’t fulfill your obligations to your third party you’ve contracted and have no idea how to handle that situation, don’t use a third party for your business! IF YOU'RE ORDERING FROM A DELIVERY SERVICE NO NOT GET THIS place! If you’re missing an item (which is totally okay and understandable we’re all humans ), do not even think you can order from this place. We’ve called several times to even get our money back and the call has been dropped and hung up on. I know it’s just ONE item, but the way it was taken care of...
