Last night I would have given the store and owner a five star review. My niece and I came in an hour before closing needing to find a dress for the homecoming the following night. The owner was wonderful she asked our price range and she gathered at least 12 to 15 dresses at $100 or under for her to try on. They had a wonderful selection of colors. There wasn't as much of a selection on the sizes but that wasn't an issue for us. The owner actually stayed maybe 15 minutes after closing just so that my niece could try on all the dresses and make the right choice for her. The owner was wonderful until today! This morning, issues arose with my niece's "date" and she decided she wasn't going to the dance. Having looked at the return policy online prior to going to the store last night I was under the impression that as long as we brought the dress back in the same condition with the tags on in the same packaging within 30 days of the date on the receipt we would get our money back. Considering the dance isn't for another 8 hours, the dress has never been wore, it's never been taken out of the dress bag, and the tags are still on it, I was thrown back when the owner told me that she could not do a refund because of homecoming that she could only offer as a store credit. So my sister and I debated on whether to do the credit or to keep the dress. at first we were just going to keep the dress but then after talking to my niece we decided to get the store credit and then in the next dance we could bring her down there to get a different dress. When my sister took the dress in to get the store credit the owner was very angry and unpleasant. It made my sister extremely uncomfortable. At first she was going to put the money back on my card so my sister called me and told me to come back in with my card which I questioned because if she's given store credit why do I need to be there? At which point the owner realized and gave my sister the store credit instead. To me false advertisement is one of the worst things a business can do to a customer. And in this case they advertise that they except returns within 30 days but that is a lie. One that I will be turning into the Attorney Generals office. It's not like my niece wore the dress to the dance and then we tried to return it the next morning (within 12 hrs of buying it), the dress has never been worn and the dance hasn't even happened yet. it is impossible to tell if a dress or any clothing truly fits you properly in just a few seconds trying it on in the store with special lighting, it's unrealistic. So if you are not 100% certain that the dress is the dress for you I would not buy it...
