Update: This is just bizarrely odd. I have a Kohl's charge card. I get emails from Kohl's and get Kohl's Cash in them. Heck, I've ordered on line and used my Kohl's charge card.
But in person, their system doesn't acknowledge that I have an account. I don't have my card with me but it doesn't have my phone number or email. Not a good system. ≈=========≈========≈≈≈=====
I went to return an Amazon purchase. You can print out a label, take the item and label to Kohl's and they take care of it. Cool. And they even gave me a 25% off coupon that I could use immediately. Extra cool.
Whoa! Slow your roll. The back of the coupon lists a few exclusions, like Columbia brand. Says to look at their website for the full list of exclusions.
I picked up a pair of Nike basketball shoes and some Under Armour for my son's Christmas.
Get to the register, sorry, both brands are excluded. Come on. Nike and Under Armour are much better known than Columbia. Why not list them? I did go to the Kohl's website and, sure enough, most every major brand is excluded. So for me, the 25% coupon was a "come on," nothing more.
I checked other coupons I recently received from Kohl's. Same exclusions. No deal.
Moral of the story: if it looks too good to be true, it...
Read moreThis past week I was treated like a child by the cashier just because I chose not to use my Kohls card and pay by cash. When given my change the cashier threw it and my receipt on the counter and then proceeded to start talking about me to another cashier while I stood there. After leaving, I called the store to speak to a manager that NEVET answered the call. I was then told a manager would call me back, well it’s been days and I am still waiting. I find it ridiculous that when you chose not to use your card they keep pushing! If I say NO twice that should be enough! I was just fortunate enough to have the cash. They don’t know what is going on in anyone’s life so when we say no take it as no. I could have been an abused wife that isn’t allowed to use my cards or my husband would get irate. I could be at my credit limit and didn’t want to be embarrassed! All though neither was the case for me! It can be for others and I find it repulsive that the stores can not take NO...
Read moreI am giving this store a 2 based on the women who was working self-checkout on Monday, June 16, 2025. I went in to purchase a pair of shoes. I was happy that I found a pair that I liked when I went to the self checkout. The woman says are you checking out and I said yes. She took the box sat them on self checkout counter and said "Let's make sure there is nothing in the box that don't want. Then she keyed everything in an walked away. If it's the store policy to check the boxes I understand but there is a more professional way to do it or express it. She could of asked If I needed assistance with the register and stated I just need to check the box I don't have a problem with that. Her choice of words and demeanor implied I was attempting to steal something. Honestly I really wanted to take them back. I would rather pay a higher price for respetful customer service than this type...
