My fiancé and I came to the Helzberg Diamonds located in the Spotsylvania mall on July 29. We knew that we had a very short amount of time before our wedding so we were worried about being able to find anything. We had already gone to two different jewelry stores that day and our experiences were horrible. One said they had no openings to see us till the week after and the other showed me rings and waited for me to pick one out before they told me that they don’t even know if they could ever get it for me. We went in to Helzberg thinking it was going to be the same story and way overpriced. We were immediately greeted by a very friendly happy employee who showed us over to the rings. We were helped by Amal and Sandra, there was another girl present but unfortunately I do not recall her name. I was so surprised by the large amount of wedding bands they had, all of them stunning. Before we started looking I asked her the dreaded question of if we would even be able to get a ring. She took all of the stress off my shoulders when she told me the short wait that would work with our tight schedule. During our time all three of the employees there were so kind and helpful to us. At no point did I feel they were pushing a sale on me or just trying to sell me something quick. They took their time showing me different options and even catched on to my reactions to the rings and easily identified the perfect ring for me. I have never had more attentive wonderful customer service in my life. I have been sure to recommend them to every one who...
Read moreHad what I thought was a good dealing with them, although a few years( 2011 ) back my husband got me a black set( necklace and ring ) and the black started wearing off so he didn't make anymore purchases with them. I started dealing( 2022 ) with them as they extended me a charge card, well long story short I got a three piece set for my birthday( August, peridot ) and I hadn't got a chance to wear it after waiting for it to get resized and sent back to me... Well for Christmas ( yesterday ) my husband got me the same set, so I told him to take it back and we were gonna go back in later and get another wedding set. So go get a refund. He went to the Fredericksburg store, where he purchased it, and wanted a simple refund( had receipt and all ) mind you we live 45 min away and at 3 pm they claimed they only had $50 in the register from all day and he had to wait for corporate to send him a church, just simply absurd if u ask me. Thinking because he wouldn't apply for an account of his own, they wouldn't do the refund. Didn't tell him to come back later or anything, but I'm wondering what if someone came in and made a purchase and they owed them more than $50 in change what would they have done, they surely couldnt give them 1/2 cash and half check...I have a charge with them and you can best believe I'm going to pay them off and not use it ever again, customer service was awful( after the third cashier )....be careful when making purchases with them and trying to get...
Read moreCame there and asked for a necklace with diamonds. We were shown a piece that we liked and purchased. Back at home we found out from the insurance certificate that the diamonds were actually lab-created, and for that, massively overpriced. During the entire time in the store the fact that the diamonds were not natural diamonds was never mentioned to us, nor was the display window clear about it. Returned the necklace within less than 24 hours. When returning we were belittled, being told that for the money we spent we should not have expected natural diamonds. We were told that the sales representative has been with them for 20+ years and that a “miscommunication” happened. No serious effort was made to make up for our confusion and loss of time. The other sales representative who worked with us the previous day avoided eye contact the entire time we were in the store for the return. To everyone out there: I have been purchasing jewelry on a regular basis and whether diamonds are lab-created was always transparent during all my past purchases. It wasn’t the case in this store. Note the difference: lab-created diamonds are worth far less than real diamonds (in decline given increased production), have much lower re-sale values (if any) than natural diamonds, and original sales prices may not be honored when...
