H-E-B — Local services in Fredericksburg

In this crazy year of 2020, the Store Manager Max (I hope that's his official title I apologize if it is not) went out of his way to help my mom and I with a very special request. We do not live in the same state and both of our grocery stores were out of a product my mom really wanted. I had been looking in my city for over 2 weeks. I finally called the distributor of the product and I was told that with all the stuff going on in the world that they were currently not shipping that product to my location or my mom’s. The lady from the company told me that the product was from the West Coast and to call a store in either Texas or California. I chose Texas since my little sister lived here for years and when I would visit, we would shop here, and I remember the stores being extremely clean. So, now out of options I decided to make a hail Mary phone call and Awesome Max answered. I explained the situation and said he would call the powers that be and see if he could help us out. I got the great news today that he will be able to ship my best friend my mom her special food item. Sometimes your favorite food is all you need. I cannot thank Max enough for all his kindness. He is a very special person to make sure total strangers were taken care of. H-E-B is very lucky to have such an amazing person working for them....

This review is specifically for the Florals department at HEB in Fredericksburg TX (shoutout Elizabeth!). After shopping around a few other florists for my wedding, I ended up choosing to use HEB. The 2 deciding factors that led me to choose HEB was 1) their prices are very reasonable and not inflated like most florists and 2) the staff is so nice and accommodating. I found that each florist shop I visited had a rude employee who wasn’t willing to take the time to get just what I envisioned. As soon as I spoke with Elizabeth I knew that all was out the window. She spoke with me and showed me different flower variants and what they could offer for the season of my wedding. The flowers turned out so beautiful I teared up a little when I picked them up. The ONLY downfall, which has nothing to do with Elizabeth’s performance or flowers, is that HEB doesn’t deliver your arrangement to the closest HEB. The closest location to me would have been in Wimberley but was told I would have to go to Fredericksburg to order them through that floral department. They do offer delivery to the venue for a very hefty fee since I was so far away. But all in all I just loved all of my flowers and they lasted for 2 WEEKS after my wedding. I haven’t gotten my wedding photos back yet but just know they will look...

I happened to stop by a extremely busy night. To pick up some quick food for my trip back to the Northeast ( loaf of bread peanut butter, jelly an Marshmallow Fluff,,, (being on the other side of the Mississippi River ) I couldn't find that Blue and White container anywhere, so I stopped a person that very moving cart of stock , through the crowd an being prepared for, justified attitude, asked where I could find the , M. Fluff , an they said with a smile , an absolutely no attitude, where it was. I went to the spot and there was an item called Marshmallow Kreme, Realizing I hadn't said Thank You to that person,,, I found them and said Thank You for the help an I had found the, M.K. an I mentioned I was from the Northeast an they said that could tell as they were from basically the same area. Made me feel a bit more comfortable in place that I was really far from home. Little Things make a big difference...
