I had high hopes for a quick repair, as other reviewers commented about their good experience. Mine was everything but a great experience. Their communication and organization is non-existent.
Here is a timeline of events:
Monday April 18 @ 3:11p I dropped off my DJI Mini 2. The gimbal works but it constantly says there’s a calibration error and calibrating doesn’t remove the error. A tech in the back overheard me and said the drone would be looked at the same day.
Tuesday April 19 @ 11:33a I called for an update and they said the drone hasn’t been looked at, but it will be by EOD. I would receive a call by EOD or sometime tomorrow (Wednesday).
Friday April 22 @ 11:33a I called for an update as I had not heard from them. Justin said the tech was going to look at it today and I would receive a call likely on Monday. I reiterated the above communication and asked if he understood my frustration. He replied “sure”. I told him to cancel my service request and I would just pick up my drone. He then handed the phone over to the tech.
The tech stated the drone needed a new gimbal and the one they attempted to use wasn’t compatible. (No idea why they tried putting an incompatible part on my drone). He said the compatible one comes in later today, but it will be $249 and not $150 like they initially thought, and he wanted to know if that was OK.
No, it’s not. When I dropped my drone off I was told I would receive an estimate and could decide if I wanted to go through with the repair. Not once was I told of any price, $150 or $249, prior to this point. I was never even told they diagnosed the issue. The response was always they haven’t looked at it, but will. Day after day.
I’m extremely disappointed that I couldn’t give my business to Drones Plus. I highly recommend avoiding this company as long as they continue to provide poor service to...

Here is my story, i crashed my DJI Phantom 3 Standard drone. Searched in google and found "Drone plus" a legit. There were couple of issues with the done
The base supporting plate of camera was cracked Getting Accelerometer error when starting the drone.
I when to their shop, got the free estimate. Their reply was that the whole IMU unit is faulty and they have to replace it. I asked them not to replace it, i asked them just to replace the cracked base of camera. As per their policy they put all the faulty parts which they replace attached to the drone. After getting the drone i opened it just to get the accelerometer issue fixed (based on the findings from YoutTube) and i saw the compass connector which is attached to the motherboard is missing and the connector is handing with couple of wires out of the connector. Next day morning i reached to their shop and asked them whats the deal with the compass connector because they never told me any issues related to that. The senior technician said the compass connector was loose so he tried to fix it by soldering. First of all when they did the analysis they never told me the compass connector is bad and i even didn't see the missing part attached which they should have. Not sure who asked them to solder the connector when i didn't want to fix it. I am pretty sure that they broke this part and tried to fix on their own and they don't accept their own mistake. Please, please and please make sure you do your due diligence before u guys reach...

In the end, I do understand that they are looking out for drone consumers and pilots as a whole and I spoke too soon. I heard from the owner shortly after this review and I appreciate the integrity and dedication to customer satisfaction. I will be visiting them again and have changed my review from 2 to 5 stars.
Thank you Drones Plus.
Old review.:
OK honestly I’m a local certified FAA pilot for part one07 and my experience at the shop was eye-opening. From a consumer standpoint, who knows nothing about the drone industry or the stipulations it would be naïve to assume this is your only source of information regarding drone, maintenance and purchasing.
Just to clarify valid. I had my fiancé call the shop and ask the same questions I did and got completely different answers; instead of trying to fix my drone they tried to pitch me a brand new Hull in and of itself.
I understand the reasoning that most novice to beginner pilots should not do light/moderate/heavy maintenance on their own aircraft, though at a certain point you do need to know more than the outer shell and what is possible as an individual consumer. Most of us are W-4 and I.C paying our own taxes and shouldn’t be steered away from performing our own maintenance because a shop wants income. As it is a part of the preflight checklist to know what functions your drone operates.
Save your time and buy off DJI refurbished, simply YouTube the correct answers.
And to be clear, the younger front desk employee was...
