For years I have been dedicated and followed this store from city to city. Even going as far as to drive an hour and a half to shop. We spend hundreds every year for our kids' birthday parties and oodles of money for the classroom as I am an elementary school teacher. Today, as i was shopping for a baby shower my 4 year old autistic son grabbed one of the items and put it in his mouth. His grandmother immediately removed it and put it back . One of the workers retrieved it, after she had walked away and took it to the front and demanded the cashier charge us for the item as he had "slobbered on it". She began to argue with me about how she knows about autism because her mother worked in a home for 15 years. I told her that living with it daily is completely different. She wanted to argue some more, saying," well actually, actually, I have a friend who's son is autistic. " I have never met a more unprofessional group of staff . I will be informing everyone I know at the blatant disregard and disrespect. I understand not everyone cares or sympathizes, but as a very loyal customer, I will not be returning and plan to take...
Read moreOkay, today was the first day in HL for a while. Saturday is a very busy time for them as they are closed on Sundays. I love that they are so open as to why they are closed on Sundays. It is a day for worship, and they are proud of it. I had 3 things that I specifically went in for. Got to the checkout and sure enough, you guessed it. I had a cart full. Not one of the 3 things I went in for was in my buggie. So I got out of line and back I go to get them. I don't know about y'all but I can't go in Hobby Lobby. I love that place. There is something there for everyone. I love love love there selection of picture frames! Omw. I believe that there is a special frame for every picture, and HL is just the place to find it. The frame can say just as much about the event as the picture. Alicia was the best at finding me what I needed. She went above & beond customer service. Steve the store manager was very nice very approachable. I like that. So the next time your looking for something to do,stop in at Hobby Lobby and see what's new.
