Mysticatz — Local services in Galveston

I do not support establishments that normalize discrimination. I do not recommend this establishment. There are many other local vendors I’d rather support who treat people with respect.

Once or twice a month my friends and I head to Galveston as our treat for not drinking. As bartenders that quit drinking we come with a lot of cash in hand that we used to blow on alcohol. We had our favorite stores we always visit and we were excited to check out a new metaphysical store. It’s is very pretty but the energy was off.

The owner admitted she profiled us and singled me out in an other review because “Theft has been a problem.” Just wow. The store was full of people but it was me that she chose to have a problem with.

Another store defended them saying maybe it was the energy of the building but I made sure to let them know that no, it was not a metaphysical problem, it is a Karen/Cathy racial profiling problem.

The place has some beautiful pieces but if you are having a good day and vibrating high spiritually, I would steer clear of this store and the staff with the nasty attitude. ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE LATINA. You will be treated as if you are the reason their problem with theft is high. Even worse, I don’t think she’s even aware of her own bias. Just because you say polite words does not mean you are being polite or appropriate.

The only silver lining is it is good songwriting material. Hopefully, she will learn we can see her demeanor regardless of her words and that you catch more flys with honey than with vinegar.

Very disappointing experience for my best...

I had a disappointing encounter with an owner of a store I had previously supported and respected. After realizing I was overcharged, I approached them for a refund, only to be met with surprising defensiveness from the co-owner. She insisted multiple times that there was no cash involved in the transaction, which didn’t align with the clear discrepancy I noticed on my end. When I asked about reviewing the camera footage, she claimed it had been checked but never actually shared any proof with me.

The atmosphere became increasingly uncomfortable when she subtly implied I might be “broke” for wanting to correct the overcharge. She finished the conversation with a dismissive “love and light” remark, which felt out of place and insincere, especially given her arrogant, nice-nasty tone throughout. There’s a real disconnect between their supposed spiritual values and the energy they actually project.

To anyone considering a purchase here, beware of engaging with so-called “spiritual” business owners who lack transparency and professionalism. My experience felt less like a customer service issue and more like a clash with someone running a...

What a surprise to see this out here. We stepped in to have a look. They have a good selection of rock, bowls and other stuff. Ray was so kind, and demonstrated several singing bowls to us. WOW they get loud. He guided us to a back room with 2 very big bowls. The vibration and singing from those are amazing and very loud. I had no clue the singing bowls did that. I told Ray this reminds me of 2 occasions I had, one a couple of weeks ago. Where my body vibrates, I feel it a lot in my hands. Its a weird feeling. He said Cathy (wife - store owner) does angel reading here in this special room. She had an encounter with an angel and had a healing.. it was a miracle!
