Today is 4:30 PM on Tuesday, September 13, 2022. My daughter, son-in-law, two grandchildren and I were in the store and my granddaughter, 2 1/2 accidentally broke a $7.99 mug. She was being supervised; she was not just running around. She had not had a nap and was cranky. This place was actually our very last stop and we we stopped in to look for a hat for her and beach shoes. At the time my granddaughter broke the $7.99 mug one of two ladies working in the store, said VERY out loud, "WHAT THE HELL?" One would have thought an expensive item was broken! My daughter and son-in-law were not only embarrassed but also a bit humiliated! There was NO need for the outburst!! None whatsoever!! A company carries INSURANCE on their merchandise for the accidental breaks. However, not only did my daughter offer to clean up the mess but told the clerk she would pay for the mug. I told my daughter to take the kids to the car and Zi would pay for the hat and mug. I went to the counter and one lady standing there told the other lady, I would have made HIM pay for it!" I said, "I AM paying for it!!!" THE MOST UNPROFESSIONAL BEHAVIOR I HAVE WITNESSED FROM A BUSINESS IN THE STRAND!!! I will NEVER return!!! And I will look up tax records to see who the owner is and if not one of two of those ladies, I will write the owner a personal letter to let him/her know how truly disgusted I was with the unprofessionalism.
