Really enjoy everytime I shop there!! John the manager had helped me on a few occasions. Sue, a cashier and works in the back...Customer service/Returns is absolutely wonderful!! Cathy, a cashier was very sweet to me. I was one of the last customers last night at 9pm. I apologized for being so last minute and she was soooo sweet and said, thank you for saying that. But, really don't worry about it!! It made me feel a little better, I still always feel for the staff when customers literally wait until the very last minute to checkout. I've worked myself several years in retail and absolutely known what it's like when customers do that...also my first transactions were Amazon returns and 1 Kohls return. She was also VERY FRIENDLY AND ALSO HELPED me regarding my Kohls return. Because I had bought 2 pair of men's shorts. Same style. Different colors. There was a little confusion on my part if I had the proper receipt. She figured it all out for me and still maintained a very pleasant helpful attitude. I'm sorry I didn't get her name. She works in Returns quite often because she's helped me before and was always very pleasant and personable!!! I absolutely believe in mentioning good service. I feel most customer literally mostly complain never a thought of the employees themselves. That's just not right!! So, everyone at Kohls a HUGE THANK YOU!! Read moreI usually love Kohl's -- in fact, they comprise much of my wardrobe. However, when visiting this mistake-ridden branch in Traverse City, I was disgusted by the management, disorganization, and chaos.
While trying on a shirt, I had a beetle crawl out of one of the sleeves and crawl down my bare skin. I am accustomed to turning clothes over at thrift stores when trying on merchandise, but don't anticipate having to do this with a prominent chain. When I brought this concern to the manager's attention, he was grossly unsympathetic and simply said he'd call the exterminators next week. I was admittedly shocked at his lazy dismissal at what I had just experienced.
Furthermore, virtually NONE of the clearance items rung up correctly and the cashier had to do price adjustments on all but one of my items. Thankfully, I was vigilant enough to notice this and the cashier did try to remedy the situation, but due to her poor math skills, I was still overcharged by $1.80. Although I continually broke down the math of the merchandise, and explain it, showing her where the errors were, she refused to listen, hence my overpayment.
Moral of the story, should you choose to purchase or even try clothes on in the fitting room at this branch, if you have a phobia of bugs -- find somewhere else to shop. If you haven't a phobia, just examine your clothes before trying them on. Moreover, watch the prices that ring up like a hawk and challenge each mistake, unless you don't mind overpaying what the ticketed...
Read moreThe older I get the more I dislike Koals. Cons All items are overpriced. Their "sales" are pretty much the price they should have been to start with. The only time anything is a decent price is when they do their 70% clearance. I have been finding that their coupons they do give can not got towards almost any of the brands most people would buy in the store. I went in to use a coupon once. To buy some stuff for my son for Christmas. I grabbed some outfits just to get up to the front for them to say those brands can't be used with the coupon. Proceeded to grab a toy instead brought it up they said toys also can't be used for their coupons. I then asked them what is? They responded that they have full lists of what isn't available on the website.... pretty much nothing was available.The only brand I remember that was okay to use this like 15% purchase coupon was Sonoma. On top of all that the lines were backed up like 30 people a line. They only had 2 people running register. I understand it was Christmas season. But the whole experience just made me have a dislike for going there.
