Mystic Moon Celtic Faire — Local services in Gatlinburg

I hate to give such a low rating on one negative experience, but I have to because of the experience. The shop overall is small, organized and fits its vibe but I have strong doubts towards the quality of their items. I bought a pair of earrings there yesterday for $18.00 and the moment I took them off the cardboard, the earring broke. The top of the earring completely ripped off somehow with no force whatsoever.. I basically threw $18.00 away. Very disappointing :/

Reply: I am not “pissed off,” but I am disappointed that I didn’t even get one use out of my brand new earrings. Anyone would. Second, I have a right to post a review for your business as a customer. I’m not lying about your business, I simply shared my experience. Since you’re all about “positivity only,” you must believe that good outweighs bad, right? What’s one negative review? Plus you’re a business in a huge tourist town, you’ll be just fine. If you can’t handle negative feedback from time to time, perhaps owning a business was not the wisest choice to make? The fact that you sarcastically attack anyone who says anything negative about Mystic Moon says a lot about your professionalism. Maybe you yourself need to use some of your negative energy stones? If you knowingly sell products that are fragile or made cheaply, you should probably put a warning out ahead of time? People don’t typically expect jewelry to break so easily, so you might need to educate us before we buy. Maybe if you had a warning, people wouldn’t leave the negative reviews? I now have no interest in rectifying this issue through your business email because just based on your unprofessional response, I doubt you can handle issues like these as a professional. Keep the $18, you clearly needed it...

I absolutely loved this shop. I didn’t even know it existed. I live in nearby Knoxville and am spending my vacation in Pigeon Forge with my fiancé. We just happened to come to Gatlinburg for the day. I was super bummed all day because I couldn’t find any Arensbak trolls or even any remotely cool items that were “one of a kind”, as it were. As a lifelong goth, I was drawn to this store. I’m super glad I went in!! I’m not Wiccan but I find it a beautiful practice and lifestyle. This shop had all sorts of stuff pertaining to it, but all sorts of religious, pagan-leaning items as well. I found the place peaceful and with a good aura around it; the patrons were all so sweet as was the lovely person who rang me up. Funnily enough, I’ve seen no goths all trip but saw three of them here alone. :) It felt kismet. I ended up buying a spirit board themed umbrella and a pentacle ornament to hang from it. I intend to use it as a sun shade when we go to Dollywood soon. It was reasonably priced and I felt good supporting this shop. The only issue I had was the small space, and even so that’s more a personal issue than anything (I am autistic). I highly recommend this shop, even if you’re just wanting to open up your mind a bit. I feel like we were almost scammed..(2/13/2025).. my wife and I came in and fell in love with the vibe and feel of then store. After browsing for several minutes we decided on a couple items....I bought a "blind book date" and was very happy with that purchase.... however my wife picked out this whimsical skull with mushrooms and like on it. My wife very excited about the skull asked for it so we could make then purchase. The lady running the store today took the item and said she was going to box it up. She did and we left to the ripleys aquarium. After returning to our hotel a few hours later my wife wanted to show me the skull,as I had not paid much attention to it. When she opend the box, the item was not the skull but was a completely different item.. some sort of letter opener. We returned to the store and saw that the item we thought we purchased was BACK IN THE CASE FOR SALE AGAIN!!!! the lady over acted a "sorry" ect..and the stated that there IS NO BOX FOR THIS ITEM. SOOOwhy did she "BOX" it up the first time. Becareful because this very very much feels like an atempt at switch and bait. I wish I could give 0 stars. We feel taken advantage of.
