Wet Nose — Local services in Geneva Township

3 stars because I really didn't know what to expect. I took my golden retriever in for his first grooming ever. Upon arriving they informed me that they double booked. They could see there was notes stating a grooming was discussed for the date I came in for but it was never actually added to their calendar and therefore was now double booked. HOWEVER, they were able to take him anyway since the other appt was late or never showed up. I was told it would be 2 hours. He ended up taking 3 hours which threw a wrench into my work day. Upon picking him up he looked real cute (as he always does) but not much different...I don't know what I expected for a $120 grooming but he didn't look very different. It wasn't until I came home that I noticed he had what felt like left over residue from conditioner or something in his fur. Not thrilled about that. He also was not dry under his ears, which is alarming considering how easily he gets ear infections. I know an ear cleaning was included with the groom and maybe it was just leftover liquid used for the ear cleaning but it made him look unclean near the ears. The fur was clumped up and darker by his ears which is what led me to check more thoroughly. Instructions weren't very clear either when I dropped him off. I told them it was my first time getting him groomed and I felt like I had to be the one prompting them to ask what kind of trim I expected, or what all was included with the grooming. They didn't even tell me what the pick up instructions were. I didn't know whether they were going to call me to pick him up or if I just show up at the estimated time frame. I ended up just showing up when they estimated he would be done. They do send text updates which I liked but honestly I will not be bringing him back here again to be groomed. I really liked this place but will likely only be renting out a bathing suit and bathing him myself at this place...

I’ve been coming here for a long time and been to plenty of other pet stores before this one had ever been open and this is by far the best pet store I’ve ever been to in my life. I love supporting small businesses and theres just nothing quite like Wet Nose. I’ll make the long drive (about 45 min) just to get all my pets food, treats and products from here. The variety of products on top of the quality is impeccable not to mention the service is absolutely amazing. All of the staff I have encountered are always more than happy to help. And tonight’s service made me want to write a review. I had Taylor assist me tonight. She was such a sweet and kind person. She took my doggie food bag out to the car for me without me even asking. I insisted that she didn’t need to worry because I didn’t want her going out to the cold but she walked along with me and carried it for me. I was left speechless to be honest.
