If I could give negative stars I would. Dr. Lukish needs to practice medicine again from start to finish and re-evaluate his career choice. Last week my son had emergency surgery at another Children's location for a pencil that got stuck in his side. Yesterday was his follow up appointment at this location (Lanham, MD) to remove his stitches and drainage tube. We saw Jeffrey Lukish, M.D. who performed the check up and confirmed that it was infected but refused to give him any antibiotics. He just said to have him soak in a tub once a day for a weekend, then massage the incision so it can drain..and put gauze and tape on it and said "okay bye". I have no medical experience but as a decent human with common sense, I even know that his advice was based on laziness and the lack of professional care he has for his patients. I am surprised at the overall rating for this location with doctors such as this one being a part of their medical team. My son's regular pediatrician has been contacted for a check up today and has a real concern for his current condition based on the instructions we were given...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe took our 1 week old for a blood work. First thing, the front desk staff was nice but also very loud and chatty when not helping others.
To the phlebotomist, she didn't seem trained or professional. She stuck my son with the needle to draw blood, accidentally pulled the needle out and blamed it on me for not holding him tight. Then switched to the other arm, stuck the needle in, got some blood, but the needle position didn't seem right because the blood flow was slow, or she was impatient, because she called it and tried to stick him again. Not to mention using the adult size tape on my son's arm. After that I asked for a different phlebotimist, who was on lunch but eventually he came back and it worked this time.
Then apparently they sent the blood to be tested at blood Corpbut they had the ability to do the testing at the facility ( according to our pediatrician) so now they are trying to get the blood back and run the test and now we have to wait over the weekend to get the results. Bottom line, we had a terrible experience and I wish I can give less...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy two boys go here when they need to see specialists, and they have been nothing but great. My husband and I first started out with Kennedy Krieger, but the distance and some of the doctors made it difficult for us to justify the cost. We were referred to CN when our little guy needed to see a neurologist. Dr. Genser was so good with our little boy. The same goes for the anesthesiologist team. They made getting an MRI seemless. We recently came back with both boys for eye exams, and I couldn't have been happier with Dr. Susai. Our oldest is autistic and not the easiest, and our little guy is tough, and she handled both of them like a pro. Very patient and gave them the care parents expect for their little ones. I also want to give props to the front desk. They are all very organized and polite. Any specialty care in the future will definitely be...
